Great News may never be the successor to “30 Rock” many hoped it would be, nor the second coming that its sophomore season bluntly tries to take by force, but there are enough laughs to match the talent involved. The well-utilized cast is charming, the writing a bit sharper, and, oddly enough, the arcs feel more original.

It has all of the ingredients to work and seems enriched a bit by the #FakeNews drama at the start of season two.

Briga Heelan is a treasure and a master of delivery. Is it a poor man's 30 Rock, sure, but it's still funny.

I am getting tired of all the super broad British jokes. They're kind of British racist. Also, if the season finale was any indicator, I hope their not making a habit of having the show in danger for every finale.
