Where the first two seasons of Good Omens sometimes felt like they stretched the narrative further than it needed to go, this outing suffers from a bit too much compression.
-
The finale of Good Omens is certainly watchable, and will provide at least some closure to fans of the show. But it’s just too bad that Gaiman’s legal troubles deprived fans of a more complete-feeling ending.
-
Ultimately, the Good Omens finale deserved much more, but amid a sea of TV cancellations, it'll be a relief that the series was able to conclude at all. To borrow the words of a certain angel, it's a tidy place to end – and that's going to have to be enough.

Good Omens season 3 is not a bad episode, per se. But it is one that needed more polish, and, most importantly, more time. The rushed story does make this final episode feel somewhat off-putting, since there was clearly much more that was meant to happen, alongside ideas that needed more development.

It’s a puzzling mess, its narrative abbreviated to the point of incoherence.
