Ginny & Georgia ... I liked it a lot as a series so much that I devoured it. It only took me one day. It ranges on various fears such as the discovery of sex, abuse, homosexuality, self-harm, the lack of acceptance of oneself, but also that appearances can be deceiving, that everyone within the walls of the house hides weaknesses, fears, problems. A sometimes conflicting mother-daughterGinny & Georgia ... A sometimes conflicting mother-daughter relationship with a loving face with the mother's sole intent to try to give her children what she was denied as a child. Georgia teaches Ginny to be free, independent, not to let anyone put her feet on her head, indeed, especially by no man, that for women there is only one possibility; never let your guard down. Ginny is a true feminist, she talks about independence, how and to what extent one must be detached from the laws imposed by society. Ginny, but also all her friends, wonders about her identity: who I am, who I want to be. Expand

a show with good potential and a dark undertow don't let the over used school brats drama put you off the main story of a mother doing anything to protect her children.

season 2 will either be its making or undoing as a show but first season well worth the watch.

La serie contó con una excelente trama que se mantuvo durante cada episodio, además de contar con un excelente reparto. Necesitamos una segunda temporada.

Did this get review bombed? Jeez. Fun show. Not perfect but it is often funny, has a decent mystery, and some of the characters are very fun to hang out with (mostly Georgia and Ginny’s best friend). That said, I was not happy with the way Season 1 ended. But maybe it will turn itself around in Season 2, which I will definitely check out.

Absolutely loved the show, was hooked from the first 20 minuites. Filmed really well and kept you engaged throughout the entire show. Highlighted many social issues throughout in a subtle way which I thought was really clever. Definitely recommend. I loved it!!l

I mean it’s more guilty pleasure watching as opposed to critically acclaimed but it was fun to watch.

I find humor in the Taylor swift bombing of the reviews as it does nothing to speak about the issues in media and actually does the reverse for the overall movement.

    Grow up folks

A twitchy mystery is tacked on to the shallow character studies, a device through which “G. & G.” can launder sermons on self-loathing and self-love, family ties and social alienation. We are teased with a race catharsis between mother and child that never comes to fruition.

It is not a perfect show, but it’s a lovable and endlessly watchable one. Sometimes, when you just want to watch a fun TV show, “lovable and watchable” is better than perfection anyway.

Surprisingly, it pretty much all works. The dark secrets (there are many) balance with the apparent fluff, making for an engaging, never-dull series. Maybe the Gilmore Girls should have had guns.
