Fast and slick, well-sourced and cogently told, it opens up most when the tea gets spilled by those on both sides of the law.
-
Solid and fast-paced three-part Netflix documentary series.
-
The series can’t help but glorify the mob in a manner similar to 2018’s wretched John Travolta-headlined "Gotti." Still, director Smith at least offsets that material with a rigorous focus on those who sought to put Gotti away for life.
-
hat it brings to mind the most? The hyperbolic sleaze of TV “newsmagazine” Hard Copy. Get Gotti is slick and sensationalist and tiptoes right up to the edge of bad taste, occasionally dipping the tip of a toe in it. It’s also tonally conflicted.
