This season ruined the entire series, it is so disrespectful of Ben and Dave to do something like this to a perfect 10/10 series. They rushed through the entire season. I really wonder who’s idea it was to “take away every single good aspect of the series and replace it with sloppy writing, bad dialogue and also somehow manage to make every single good character into annoying ass peasants. This season ruined the entire series, it is so disrespectful of Ben and Dave to do something like this to a perfect 10/10 series. Poor writing, illogical plot line, underwhelming. Great performances, beautiful production. This season has all the tools to become the best thing on television, yet it ended up being a pile of steamy poo.

I don't know a single Game of Thrones fan that could not write a better final season to the show. This season is a remarkable piece of garbage, that managed to ruin the entire series. The characters are two dimensional and plain stupid now. The plot armor is so thick that you literally watch your favorite characters die and continue alive, specially in episode 3. Not the good kind of treason, but treason to us, the fans.

Battle strategy? Let's charge into the enemy army in the dark for no reason!
Night King's motivation? He's just an evil blue dude!
Character development? Screw that! Let's go for shock value even if it does not make any sense!
Who is going to be the king? Bran, VOTED by Tyrion, who is sentenced to death (?) and somehow can decide who the king is (??)

Oh god. It is simply a 0/10. Should be a -10/10 because it really ruins the rest of the show.

I don’t think it’s possible to have written a worse ending to this brilliant brilliant series. It’s so incredibly horrible I actually believe they tanked it on purpose. I’ll never understand how they could have let this happen... even the actors in interviews about the last season are visibly disturbed about how it ended.

Sometimes I stop and try to think of ways the showrunners could have ruined Game of Thrones more than they did in this season. Somehow, I can never, ever find an answer for that.

The points I give it are for the acting skills. Definitely not for the story line and writing

This season had much potential. They took a very good story and turned it to trash

The premiere pulled everyone and everything together; it was, for the most part, an almost nostalgic hour. ... It is the competing loyalties, the loves and enmities that enmesh the Lannisters, Starks, Targaryens and the rest, after all, and the questions Game of Thrones poses about conscience and corruption and the manifestations of power, that will propel us through to the end.

As in season 7, the big problem with “Winterfell”—the reason it felt more like an unlucky videographer’s rendering of an exceptionally dysfunctional family reunion than like a carefully crafted story—was the pacing.

The show has stepped up its pacing. For the most part, that has been immensely satisfying, yielding crowd-pleasing moments that the and that the series generally avoided in the often-grim journey, especially for the Stark kids, which has led to this point.
