    Friends From College is a dramedy that doesn’t work. Considering the characters are Harvard alumni, all of their actions and dialogue are completely uncharacteristic. The drama, which strangely only focuses on the two most unlikeable characters, has some high points early on that deal with infertility, but otherwise the whole ‘cheating’ arc is stupid.     This is the kind of show you put on in the background and don't think too much about. It's a theme of the show that the characters are stuck acting like college kids rather than the adults they are, but in reality they act more like high-schoolers.     Some of the skits are laugh out loud funny. The problem is though, this is a tv show, not snl meaning a lot of these scenes won't flow well or create weird character traits giving the show some continuity trouble.

    Is this show good? No, but when I watched it I was in the mood for some mindless tv and that's exactly what I got. It's a fine binge watch show but not much else.    … Expand

    I have a simple test that helps me determine whether I like a show or not. I tap to the screen to see how much time is left. With "Friends From College", I was doing it a lot. It's not boring, but it's not funny. Or is it supposed to be funny? When I see Keegan Michael Key, I expect to laugh.

    I like the "Big Chill"-esque premise, friends getting back to together . The vibe I got was though guys are friends,they really not.

    Not longstanding ones. There is no chemistry in any of the relationships. I don't believe that Cobie Smulders and Key are married. Maybe that's why he's having an affair with one of their friends. And why is that? He's a boring dude. She's boring . They are both boring.

    Other than Fred Savage, everyone else is just background. Except that dude from "Ally Mcbeal", who continues to be typecast as the uptight white guy who is a tool.

    I'm going to watch episode two, because it's summer and I'm looking for something new to watch. But the writing has to be better and the scenes needs to be shorter.
    There were a few scenes that needed to be shorter. Hopefully the characters become more layered and likable.
    The show needs to decide what it is...comedy or drama. After watching "Master of None", I'm hoping for something to take its place. So far, this series has a little more work too do.    … Expand

    A very uneven effort. Some scenes have wry, situational humor, there's a bit of slapstick, and lots of ho-hum Thirty Something storylines. As one reviewer said, it's OK for background when you have to clean the kitchen or do some emailing. My main complaint could go for a lot of shows -- why the heck does everyone (esp. the women) have to look & act almost exactly alike?! There's one sceneA very uneven effort. There's one scene towards the end with 3 women, dark, limp hair, skinny physiques, dull moonie faces ...which is which? There are no short, plump gals or freckly ones or a person with a tat or piercing that could help differentiate? Guys are not much better (except for Savage & Key). Also, kill that indie soundtrack.
    And as much as I love Kate McKinnan on SNL, she is the worst actor I've ever seen -- just horrible mugging no matter what she is in. Nails on chalkboard!    … Expand

    It's a great show, but not so funny. Besides that, it's hard to not associate Cobie Smulders with Robin by How I Met Your Mother, even that's not happen at A Series of Unfortunate Events. I will be serious: i abandoned the show in the middle, not because of the plot, but it's because i though i could be spending my time seeing something that might not make difference in my life, andIt's a great show, but not so funny. Besides that, it's hard to not associate Cobie Smulders with Robin by How I Met Your Mother, even that's not happen at A Series of Unfortunate Events. I will be serious: i abandoned the show in the middle, not because of the plot, but it's because i though i could be spending my time seeing something that might not make difference in my life, and believe me, i started to watch again after watch Movie 49 (don't ask me why i watched it).     La serie cuenta con elementos muy interesantes, donde exhiben cómo el grupo se sostiene en una mentalidad que no congenia con su edad real, y como eso tiene efectos con los terceros en sus vidas.
    Una gran problemática es que en esta comedia medio grupo se siente demás, pueden contribuir en la comedia pero en la trama general no aportan nada. Además hay que mencionar que el humor es escaso y muy visto.
    Si buscas un sitcom como "Friends" o "How I met your mother" ésta no lo es, tiene un drama muy pretencioso y el humor es inconsistente. Al ser corto vale la pena arriesgarse para saber si eres público de éste show, pero creo que el margen es muy chico    … Expand

    Stoller shapes each episode to indulge the performers’ idiosyncrasies as opposed to servicing the story or character development, and the result is a flimsy story somewhat flogged into shape by hammy eccentricity.

    Friends From College is largely uncomfortable to watch, although when it’s funny, it can be brilliant. The show’s biggest crime is that it overestimates its audience’s tolerance for watching people screw up.

    The script, when it's going for laughs, is absolutely riotous. The scenes taking place in the frat-boy bullpen at Lisa's new hedge fund office—favorite on-going prank: during conversations with SEC compliance officers, they mute their end of the call, then drop trou and rub their junk on the phone—are pee-your-pants hilarious.
