There are cause-and-effect relationships between one event and another, but they’re stretched across long-attenuated frames, spun out over distances that are short enough to roughly remember there was a relationship there, but too long for that relationship to retain any urgency or heft. Admittedly, Foundation takes its time with establishing the core of its story and it is thus, hard to get into in the beginning. Really nice story. Especially the later episodes are really nice and highly entertaining. Haven't read the books so no troubles there as well ;)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Boring tripe! Deviates so far from the novel that it's "Foundation" in name only. The race/gender swapping of principal characters is predictable and cliched. Salvor Hardin in the novel is a cigar-chomping man, but in the show Hardin is a black woman who is THE BESTEST EVAR because she's the only one who can enter the null field around the Vault without being affected. Unfortunate that the show had to be made in these woke times by people with an agenda; better if it had never been made at all!… Expand

If you loved the books you'll hate this series. If you know nothing about the books you'll be bored out of your mind all around bad drama series with a sci fi coating.

It is huge disappointment in ci-fi future.
