Too bad all the manufactured drama feels more middling than mile-high. [26 Mar 2010, p.65]
-
This could have been a really good show. Instead, "Fly Girls" ends up just an OK flight to fantasy land.
-
Notwithstanding a few apparently real tears and a bleeped expletive spoken in possibly real anger, the show is made of clearly concocted crises nearly from takeoff to landing, with little to offer beyond a long, though not penetrating, look at its attractive leads.
-
As a reality show, "Fly Girls" feels pretty routine.
-
Well, let's hope the show gets better after the pilot episode.
-
These latest entries--"The Hills" times two, on the ground and at 30,000 feet--manage to make glamorous settings appear wan through the sheer banality of those occupying them.
-
With their brains locked in the upright position, the "Fly Girls" take off for another contrived adventure, way up there, where the air is very thin.
-
I'd rather watch just about anything other than "Fly Girls."
