Don't let the vulgar comedic vibes of the series fool you. Yes, you will see more than one blurred out vagina, but the parts of the show that will really put a smile on your face involve a different kind of tenderness.
-
With its raunchy, inventive humor and commitment to laughing with its characters more than at them, Florida Girls may well turn out to be the most enjoyable new show of the summer.
-
In the eight episodes sent to critics, I can already tell that once Chinn and the creative team run out of complacent punchlines and tinker a tiny bit with the volume on some of the performances, there's a solidly raucous female-forward comedy germinating here.

“Florida Girls” is like a soft poke in the ribs — more endearing than challenging, more amiable than thought-provoking, clever enough to engage but not necessarily funny enough to enchant. The eight episodes given to critics develop a set of charming characters but they don’t really (excuse me) pop.
-
The characters are all the shades of unlikeable – lazy, thieving, selfish, etc. – but surely there’s an audience for this kind of humor, based on past bad boy successes, so it’s fair that the women get a turn. The humor is often not subtle and the dialogue tends toward the unpleasant with some regularity.

Florida Girls raucously blurs and regularly crosses the line between hilarity and vulgarity. [8-21 Jul 2019, p.15]
