Another show where the Main Character is an unlikable jerk, yet somehow also relatable. When well-done, these shows can be hilarious and deep satires. I'm a huge fan of, for instance, "Bojack Horseman" and "Life & Times of Tim". However, despite being marketed as a "comedy", "Fired on Mars" has literally no jokes. None. I'm on the third episode and there hasn't been a single joke yet. It's just one anxiety-inducing situation after another about the MC's life going down the drain due to everyone (including him) being horrible people. It reminds me of the movie "All My Friends Hate Me", which was equally unfunny.

I really don't understand the positive reviews as this show doesn't really have any redeeming qualities.… Expand
