Andy Millman's character is fascinating to me because, he is our view into fame and it is a deliberately shallow and bitter world to live in. Each episode centers around a guest star who behaves exactly the opposite of his/ her public image. Gervais' character changes through the series - - becoming more shallow and jaded until he has his epiphany. A very good set up of moronic sit-coms as well which are actually worse in the UK than in the US. The "Dukes of Hazard" was fine art compared to "When the Whistle Blows".… Full Review »
