Season 1 Review: Still, for all its handling of today’s (unfortunately) hot-button topics (non-binary people, book bans, rogue school boards, “wokeness”), English Teacher is a breeze – a tricky mix of wit, silly humor and heart with plenty of potential. For now, it gets a passing grade, with a request for more study and, hopefully, a bright future. Read full review

Season 1 Review: Every episode made me laugh, and that’s all that really matters I suppose, but it’s not quite consistent enough yet to deserve placement among the FX best. It’s certainly not an A, but it’s also nowhere near flunking. Read full review
