I guess I'm too young to know about the original show and how similar the 2017 version is or not, but i think this show is amazing non the less. The cast is perfect. It is really entertaining and most of the time you have no idea who the real villian is because almost everyone is kinda evil, but almost everyone has a point. So it is really entertaining without being predictable. It is the perfect mixture of family show, funny, romance, mysterious, excitment and annoyance sometimes because you are rooting for your favorite charakter. I can only highly recommend it!… Expand

Other performances from Nicollette Sheridan, Nathalie Kelley, Brianna Brown, Wakeema Hollis, Grant Show, Rafael de La Fuente, Alan Dale, Sam Adegoke, and James Mackay were outstanding. The chemistry between the cast is terrific. I love the music especially the opening theme, the music is phenomenal. The costumes are spectacular especially on Elizabeth Gillies, Nicollette Sheridan, Nathalie Kelley, Wakeema Hollis, Rafael de La Fuente, Alan Dale, Grant Show, and Sam Adegoke. The makeup and hairstyling was stupendous especially on Elizabeth Gillies, Wakeema Hollis, Nathalie Kelley, Kelly Rutherford, Nicollette Sheridan, Adam Huber, and Brianna Brown. The writing is pretty darn great for a soap opera, probably the best I have every seen. This was an A+ first season.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where yes, this show is very interesting for the first two seasons as time goes on the viewer can tell they are trying to keep it going. I still find it entertaining to watch and it can be a nice in between show for viewers or switch from their usual. I do think that early on in this series the different information that is thrown around is exciting. I think when there became a new mom and the brother was no longer apart of the show, it did take time to get reinterested and used to it. I will say that Liz Gillies is one hell of an actress and I have grown up watching her on many different shows. I am glad the producers decided to use her talent in singing throughout the series by making Fallon Carrington a singer for different charity events. With the drama, there is also loving relationships (for a period of time) and characters that everyone falls in love with making their deaths a tragedy. I do appreciate that even though they killed off Anders they still incorporated him in episodes as a "ghost" or voice in the back of Sammy Joe's mind. Overall, I still like the show, but I definitely think it is more focused on a younger crowd who enjoys drama and constant changes to the plot.… Expand

the show is addictive but it lacks the depth and layers required. I hope the show will be more orgainised as well. Sad it doesn't renew for the 6th season. Maybe a remake will be done, ummmmm, in 20 years later?
