Expand

First episode really kept me watching. It was really good, the setting, the story. I was really impressed, even though you could smell a hint of wokeism.
The second episode got much worse and the wokeism got prevalent to ridiculous levels. Not to mention the writing was atrocious and had many plot holes and many things simply didnt make sense.
The third episode felt like someone tried to screw me over. At the end I just pointed at the credits running and yelled "WTF is this sh*t"?
The story made no sense, wokeism got even worse and the characters all were empty shells. Things that were established (in a 3-episode series!) were suddenly completely different. The end made NO SENSE whatsoever! As if the writers and director gave up completely.
I have no more words for this garbage, because its also not worth my even my time writing about it. Utter trash.

What a banal series, the writers made all the women with hardly no intelligence, the third episode was so dysfunctional, it was laughable, I hope there isn't a second series as I will not be watching it, considering Mark Gatis is an avid fan,What a banal series, the writers made all the women with hardly no intelligence, the third episode was so dysfunctional, it was laughable, I hope there isn't a second series as I will not be watching it, considering Mark Gatis is an avid fan, he did Dracula a

I struggle to even explain why this series exists. It brings nothing significant to Dracula. Its greatest innovations are lazily setting 1/3 of the series in modern day and changing van Helsing's sex organs. If you have a problem with the wayI struggle to even explain why this series exists. It brings nothing significant to Dracula. Its greatest innovations are lazily setting 1/3 of the series in modern day and changing van Helsing's sex organs. If you have a problem with the way literature has been written, don't just redo it by committee - just forget about it and create something of your own. Only people in the absolute depths of depression and boredom could possibly care about this. I watched it while doing cardio and still managed to be bored. Expand

Huge Dracula fan here. I'll keep it simple. Episode 1 - 8/10
Episode 2 - 9/10
Episode 3 - 0/10

The third episode ruined the entire series for me. Absolute garbage.

Teenage drama clubs attempt to make TV series.
Honestly I'm not sure if it's comedy or satire? The acting is so absurd and the writing is as taken straight from 10 year old's cereal box ugh how do you even mess up Dracula story like that.

Penny Dreadful was far more researched, more cleverly scripted, and had much better acting. This show injects some really odd humor that just lands with a thud, and feels out of place in the serious situations and surroundings of Dracula's castle. The makeup and practical effects were pretty good, but felt hokey and out of place within the bad script. The lead has potential with better material, and seemed to possess the gravitas that Dracula needs, but his accent sounds kind of like an American one by the end. The ending reveal is pretty hokey too. Episodes are way too long, and dragged on. I recommend skipping this series. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So... DRACULA! lets see...
Episode 1... looks good, the feeling was there... the acting was "ok" sometimes, painfully bad in others. The story was told better before... Was shocked to see Dracula is gay now, but I don't care about that anymore... now days everyone is gay on TV. so... let's see the second episode...

Episode 2... was cool... not great!! but cool... nothing you haven't see before!... you know, the usual... "the killer no one knows who is", "what's in the room 9"... all the elements for a Shyamalan movie... the ending was a little shocking... didn't love the idea! but HELL!!! What can go wrong?!! right?? right??

EPISODE 3!!!!! OMFG!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!! what was this?? WHAT WAS THIS?!!!! kids on social media? love triangles? WTF IS THIS?! They took something good... not great! but good.. that with a better 3 episode could be great! but they took the " trending path"... "kids with problems"... and SOOOO stereotypical that hurts!
I don't give a "F" those kids! I was watching this for DRACULA!!! DRACULA!!!! and they "F" up this so hard! that the little good things they achieve in the first 2 episodes means nothing now...

If you want a better fantasy show go for The Witcher! or... if you want to see a DAMN GOOD Dracula go for Castlevania! DON'T WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME ON THIS!!!!!

It has no redeeming features. It had bad acting, bad writing and awful costumes.

In the beginning of the 1st episode, I had hopes, but the end of it I had already doubts. Somewhere in the middle of the 2nd episode, I decided I could not stand it anymore. It a low budget and low script series, which doesn't worth your time.

Touted as a modern styled adaptation of Dracula in the vein (pardon the pun) of the Moffat & Gatiss Sherlock, Dracula is surprisingly uncreative.

Good special effects, production style and action are a veneer over an unoriginal telling of Bram Stoker's tale.

Watched with the sound off, you get the same or a better viewing experience. That is actually a good thing.

Remember when Steven Moffat was known for his sharp writing and witty banter? The moments intended to lighten the mood of Dracula 2020 are just regurgitation of present day misandrist, anti-christian, and heterophobic speech. They are not so much jokes as anachronistic digs that shatter the otherwise impressive world in which you were being immersed. THAT is the modern style we were promised by the creators.

This series is more left wing garbage from the Beebs, but I suppose it is the only way a white male can get a job there anymore.

Skip it.

Нудная, искусственно затянутая, абсолютно необязательная к просмотру шляпа.
