    If this had've come out at Halloween it'd be a ten, but sadly it's Christmas and scaring the hell out of children isn't really what the festive season is all about - 2 stars

    Nobody in this musical is even good a singing. They are frequently off key and are almost never harmonizing. Not to mention the acting is terrible from everyone involved.

    The Grinch Musical! certainly didn't earn its exclamation point, or do anything to make a cranky critic's too-small heart grow one size, much less three. So while it's a bit tired, perhaps, to say it in rhyme, this Grinch, alas, wasn't worth the time.

    Queue up the original 1966 Grinch special, or even one of the two movies before even considering Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch Musical! You’ll never see the Grinch the same way after watching this mess.

    It really feels like they were going for a zany, over-the-top vibe to match the Seussian weirdness driving this story, and while the set design and costumes got there, the performances, songs, and blocking didn’t quite make it.
