Dominion is the best TV show I've seen in the last 20 years. Compelling storyline, creative authors, amazing actors...Dominion improves with each episode! And there is still so much to explore in Dominion!
I think it's destined to become a cult series.

I've never listened to critics. They're often biased by the sheer fact that the word 'critic' is in their job description. Instead of looking for the potential of a show they 'look' for things they feel are 'wrong' with it. Dominion was not given a fair shake with the 'paid critics' because they only saw the pilot episode. Likewise, it's doubtful that any of them ever watched the movie on which the show is based 'Legion'.

The viewers to whom this show is geared at science fiction/fantasy fans who are the most likely to have seen Legion and therefore have a working knowledge about the premise. BUT the pilot as well as episode 2 were 'building' episodes meant to give those viewers who didn't know about Legion an understanding of what was going on.

And considering the critics who gave initial reviews of the show were only given the pilot episode to work with - they missed half the 'building' of the show. It is not a 'new villain to fight or new disease to conquer' show. Dominion is an epic story that requires viewers to keep up with what's going on lest they fall behind in the lore of the show.

It's a series where passionate viewers watch and rewatch episodes looking for Easter eggs hidden in the dialogue (of which there are many) - some of which carried over deep into the second season.

Sadly, Dominion was cancelled by SyFy Network after 2 seasons even though its ratings were actually quite good ... despite the fact that its time slot was changed more than once. Had SyFy not tried to 'course correct' their line up Dominion as well as other shows that were cancelled at the end of 2015 would never have seen a drop in numbers. (Again, the drop was minimal when one takes into consideration factors like time slot changes, DVR viewing, OnDemand viewing, international viewership, etc...)

Dominion has a massive global fan base.

If you've not see the series - give it a shot. You'll find out how exciting it can be when Heaven raises Hell on Earth.

Vaun Wilmott is the creative mind behind Dominion as well as one of the Executive Producers.

The series has an atmosphere very worked and more than acceptable special effects. The cast does an outstanding job , with special attention to the hypnotic beauty of Shivani Ghai . I 'm about to start the second season and I know it will not continue. A penalty for all fans of this fiction so interesting.

Absolutely one of my favorite shows. I can not believe it was cancelled. Tom Wisdom as Michael is simply fantastic. I really wanted to see what happens next. I hope SyFy comes to their senses and renews it, if for only to conclude it for us fans.

I watched the movie Legion when it came out and barely remembered it, so I thought the show would be just as forgettable. Now I am midway through the second season. The production values are pretty good for a show on Syfy. There is a bit of action and a lot of story. There are multiple story lines going on at the same time so if you just have the show as background you will get lost. Some of the storylines are a bit over the top but the show is fantasy/scifi and that is expected. Every episode has major events going on.The writers do a good job in making the Dominion world very interesting. The characters for the most part are all very interesting. The "Good guys" are just as engaging as the "Bad guys". I watch a lot of scifi shows and rarely get surprised by plot twists. There were a few times I was surprised at what happen or couldn't believe the characters did that. Someone in the reviews mentioned that the show is like cheaper version of The walking Dead but with angels and demons and the show is pretty much that but with a lot more political intrigue. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The idea of the show is not easily taken by certain audience, but for me it seems to be interesting. The metaphors used (angels) attract attention of everyone, because in Dominion they are not cutie-blondie creatures living in haven and singing carols, but are rough and furious ones. Show creators have taken the risk of creation such characters and I think they've done well. Expand

Dominion is a great show! The second season is just amazing. New places, new characters, more stories from the past of the "old" characters. Many valuable flashbacks which help to understand the characters and the history of the Extermination War. Definitely worth watching!

To say that I have been anticipating the second season of this show would be an understatement. I have been really excited to see what the showrunner has in store for us after a slightly uneven first season.

Rest assured, Vaun Wilmott and his team seem to have learnt from some of the missteps last season and have poured awesome into what is promising to be a ridiculously amazing second

From the moment the first episode starts, I was struck by the cinematic feel. Gone were the sometimes claustrophobic sets from S1, characters were now on the road, we were learning more about the world and interacting more intimately with the characters.

Deran Sarafian has done an outstanding job with the direction of the episode. Everything feels grand and gorgeous. The quality of the show feels heightened as we dive right into where we left off last season.

Thus far, I have not been disappointed by the direction the show is taking. I am super excited about the rest of the season.

Wow! Season 2 promises to be even more epic that Season 1! Thanks to the talented cast and crew for drawing me into this amazing universe! These are not the angels you met in Sunday school, nor are they Supernatural's Castiel. This is a unique, thoughtful, sexy, exploration of human emotions, history, actions, and relationships. Kudos!

They seem to forget that the show had only eight episodes to show the extend of what we can expect which might explained this feeling of missing parts and incoherence we can have at times. Anyhow I have all confidence that we can expect even more from this show in the future, reminding ourselves that critics only see shows and movies as a prowess, a demonstration, a job well done and not as entertainment or things "normal" people can feel a connection with Expand

OK so after the confusing mess of a pilot and reading on Wikipedia what is really going on, it is actually much better. But none of that is explained in the show.

Based on the Pilot: The setting and plot make no sense. The movie Legion was set during/soon after the apocalypse, Dominion is set long after the apocalypse in some sort of new society which is never explained. It doesn't tell

I'm really liking this show. Love how it's based on the Legion movie (which I loved too). Not as scary but suspenseful and interesting. Better than all the reality tv crap that is out there right now and getting overloaded with the cops or crime shows. I hope they keep this show going.

Dominion is a pleasant change from what has become the norm of television entertainment. It's unique and captivating. The plot twists keep the viewer guessing at every turn. Characters are extremely well crafted and portrayed by an excellent cast of talented actors.

The story starts out a little slow as background is established, but once it gets rolling there is no stopping it. Action.

The story starts out a little slow as background is established, but once it gets rolling there is no stopping it. Action. Intrigue. Romance. Good vs. Evil... well maybe not as straight forward as that. Vaun Wilmott has taken a step away from that stereotype, and given us characters that are various shades of gray making them much more believable and easier to relate to.

Dominion is the best new show that you aren't watching so do yourself a favor and correct that as soon as possible.

Zeros should only be given to this show on the right side of the whole number. Zero has no business being a single digit here. I am very openly religious but I can appreciate the fictional nature of this program. Angels are in the three predominant religions (not my classification) and in many of the others so it is a nice tie in to multiple beliefs, Our Christian Muslim, Jewish and Hindi family and friends can all enjoy and share the plots with out the inter faith arguments. This show is so current with views and revision of what religion and God or gods are. The dialogues are not splendid as for example in "True Detectives" or such, but just because of the enigmatic plot it seems it doesn't affect the storyline. I enjoy watching Dominion and I hope this show continues.

I don't think it's fair to call this TV serie a flop when it does apply to your own taste in series because if we focus on the genre, it fits perfectly! The way it is written, and the storyline of the series meets in my opinion the standards of a very accomplished Sci-Fi TV series. The direction, the performances, the dialogue, and the special effects are everything but poorly! Therefore, I would advise everyone who finds it a waste of time to pay attention to the genre, it is written from, instead of judging Dominion by comparing it with totally different kinds of tv series.
Besides next to Supernatural I can't recall any other recent or well known TV series that has been dealing with Angels let alone making them the main subject of the story on a much larger and a different scale that has not been dealt with before in a tv series.
