Dollface gives viewers one of the coolest experiences of all: watching someone find their passion. This season is littered with little moments like these, honest parts of everyday life that only feel profound because we never see them portrayed.
-
The bar is named The Gi Spot and all of these fun and ”feminine” features are indicative of everything wrong with Dollface’s unfortunate second season. Cringeworthy and shallow, there’s nothing compelling or thought-provoking here.
-
Granted, Dollface is a comedy, but it’s not a comedy for tweens, yet that’s how the series plays out.
-
If it would just stop trying so hard to prove that it’s not like other girls, “Dollface” could be a fun, somewhat escapist show about the emotional growth of four relatively privileged Los Angeleno women who find strength in each other. Instead, it’s emblematic of every aspect of faux feminist girl power that it thinks it’s different from.
