The Eleventh Hour is a mostly great opener for a new era. Smith brings unique energy, charm, and humor to the role, which is perfect for hooking viewers, both those who are already fans and new-comers. It isn't perfect however. Smith brings unique energy, charm, and humor to the role, which is perfect for hooking viewers, both those who are already fans and new-comers. It isn't perfect however. The villain is silly, the foreshadowing is super forced and obviously not subtle, and the companions are not quite likable yet. That being said, this episode doesn't lose focus of the main goal of just trying to be fun in order to promise more from this new era, and so I give it credit there.… Expand
