This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The return to New Earth is much darker and more emotional than expected. Gridlock is a story with not a single bad idea and excellent world-building (minus the Macra). I love how Martha's faith in the Doctor is tested without him being there, which is an original approach to the Doctor/companion dynamic. I can see why this is Davies's favorite story.… Expand
