Dec 13, 2018Definitely not the Doctor Who I enjoyed for so many years. I've stopped watching and probably won't be returning. I'll miss it.
-
Dec 15, 2018Absolutely not what Dr Who should be. Very disappointed with both Whittaker and Chibnall. They couldn't have done a worse job.
-
Dec 12, 2018Utterly heartbreaking.
Where was the Drama, the hook, the Doctor?
Jodie did a reasonable job at the beginning but really wasn't given a chance to become the doctor as the show has been ruined by a bunch of self righteous short stories that don't come together to deliver anything, making the torture of watching the series not even worth it in the end. -

Oct 24, 2018After 3rd episode I made a decision -- it's worst Doctor ever. Political agenda is not very believable and actors doesn't seems to be believable.

Oct 21, 2018This is not the direction i wanted the Who show to go.
And to make it worse its badly written, the writing of such a long running show naturally have ups and downs but season 11 is a huge drop. -

Oct 15, 2018Very simple -- nice look and feel, very weak story content, weak companions, and too much yak. I have watched both episodes multiple times and like them less every time unlike all of the other reboot episodes. This is not good.

Nov 13, 2018Chris Chibnall has completely destroyed Doctor Who!!
I personally think that making him the show runner was a very big mistake on the BBC’s behalf, in my opinion he is a B Grade writer to say the least, and he doesn’t seem to have the ability to write a good story.
If it was my choice I’d sack Chris Chibnall, Cancel the season and go back to the drawing board. -

Nov 3, 2018The series is simply made from sjw. Here you will constantly poke in the face of various races homosexuality and other tolerant ideas.
But the plot was forgotten. There is no story here. Only propaganda. -
Oct 22, 2018Based on three episodes so far, ... Jodie Whittaker is great. I'd love to see her working for the old writing team. So far, ... the show has been rather disappointing. Continuing to watch in hope of an improvement.

Oct 30, 2018Well its official...the social justice warriors have now taken over Doctor Who. Did it to the new Star Trek. Did it to Star Wars. Predict lowest viewer numbers ever. Oh and the Brits coming across the pond and rubbing Rosa Parks in our faces? Pfft.
-
Oct 17, 2018Poor writing and character development on the doctors companions. The show has a different look and feel this season. Its not Dr. Who.

All in all, “The Woman Who Fell To Earth” succeeds as a statement of intent for this brand new era of Doctor Who, telling us that it’s going to be easily accessible, gorgeous to look at and listen to, all about the character drama and brought to life with a lead actress who has a lot of energy. In terms of comparing it to past Who, it’s not a flawless season opener, but it does a terrific job of making us excited for the rest of Doctor No. 13’s tenure.

Goofy and curious, commanding and contemplative, Thirteen is already well on her way to demonstrating the complex emotional makeup that is the Doctor. She also demonstrates a cheerful, can-do spirit. ... With the exception of Tim Shaw’s unappealing self, very little about the episode feels Whovian. Gone is former showrunner Steven Moffat’s sense of play, both in the verbal sparring and convoluted storytelling.

The premiere episode here, “The Woman Who Fell to Earth,” reminded me, more than anything, of “The X-Files,” when it was really good. It takes you back to the days when Doctor Who was a fun sci-fi procedural. ... [The alien] resembles some gleaming villain out of a Marvel movie, which makes his blokey name, Tim Shaw, even more incongruously funny. This is Doctor Who at its best--nerdy and chilling and quick with a joke. And, most significantly of all, generous of spirit, a quality that simply shimmers off Whittaker.
