The series is simply made from sjw. Here you will constantly poke in the face of various races homosexuality and other tolerant ideas.
But the plot was forgotten. There is no story here. Only propaganda.

I really wanted to go into this season open-minded and in-kind with the theme of Clara's sublot to 'see' The Doctor in the new person. Despite Jodi Whitaker's talent and ability exhibited in other programs, the painfully flat episodes and forced both bland and activist writing and dialog shoved into every episode is simply making that painfully hard.

I have read a lot of reviews about the new Doctor Who and I find that most miss out what is really missing in the new season.

The relationship the Doctor has with his/her companions.

That's the real core of the show. Forget about gender politics and even the awful stories they have given us so far.

The real problem with it is that the new Doctor has no real connection and no chemistry with her new companions yet. The Doctor and companions has always been the real core of the show. Whether it was a romantic relationship (Rose, River), a friends relationship (Billie), a funny sidekick (Jack, Nardole), or whatever, that relationship was the core of the show. And that is not just New Who, that is Old Who as well. The chemistry and connection has always been a staple of the show.

And if the chemistry was there between the characters, the awful stories would not be such an issue (they would be an issue but a lesser issue).

As regards this chemisty or lack thereof, usually in a first episode we got to see that relationship start and start to develop properly.

There is a reason the Doctor always invites them to share the universe with him/her. He/She likes them.

In this current season, of which we are 3 episodes in already, there has been no time for the new Doctor to bond at all with the new companions. Everything has been plot driven (although somehow still boring) and there has been no connection or chemistry between them.

There has been some (derivative cliched) connection between the companions, but the Doctor seems to have taken a backseat. It is called Doctor Who after all and we tune in for the Doctor and the Doctor's unique personality.

This problem of a lack of chemistry is the real problem with the show.

And Jodie is fine as the Doctor, or at least she would be (and could be great, who knows) if she had better material to work with, better dialog and had a better rapport with her co-stars.

Edit: Now, after seeing episode 4, I really don't know what to say anymore! What used to be a cleverly written, wonderfully complex plotted series has become a breeding ground for every political and virtue signalling cliche available. We do not need a Trump-alike in a Doctor Who. Who works best when it is metaphorical and allegorical, not on the nose, slap in the face obvious like this.

    It is now beyond ridiculous!

When I heard the Doctor would be female my worry was the new season would be a PC nightmare. But as the Doctor being a woman was well within canon I shelved those concerns and looked forward to my favorite show coming back.

Then I am watching episode 1 and they cut to the producer saying the focus of the new season is being inclusive. Well it shows, because little went into the script.

So far the season has had decent acting, horrible scripts, political bias, and on top of it all they ruined the iconic theme song.

The acting is decent, but Jodie seems to just be an imitation of previous Doctors and it doesn't feel as though she has made the character her own. The show is barely worth watching for a long time fan, after season 4 I would delete it from my DVR if I was not such a big fan.

The acting as far as grandma was concerned was somewhat lacking and the story sped by without the development of characters, also the willingness of the characters to accept the Doctor was hard to believe. I really do hope the emphasis of this new Doctor is not politically correct inclusiveness and virtue signaling. Star Wars has already been ruined I hope Doctor Who isn't next.
So after watching the 4th episode I'm coming to the conclusion that Mr Chibnall was hired specifically to destroy the Doctor Who franchise because out of all time and space to choose material from he's laser focused on left wing politics and social justice. It would have been easier this week to have simply put a sign on the TARDIS saying I hate Trump and last week it was 'white people are bad'. I suppose next weeks episode will be about trans gender bathrooms. It's sad to see a great show devolve into virtue signaling. Shame on you Chibnall

I have watched 3 episodes of series 11 and I will continue watching at this stage. The stories seem to be written for children, or maybe a US audience. Dealing with historical figures is tricky. The episode a few series ago with Vincent van Gogh is one of my favourites, but episode 3 about Rosa Parks is more like educational fiction written for elementary students. Very disappointing.

What bothered me is how dull the show has become and how utterly bad the writing is. Did these people ever watch a Doctor Who episode? Other reviewers have said it better, but truly Jodie's Doctor is just dull and not the Doctor, and previous season companions had more "Doctorish" aspects to them. She doesn't command the screen. She's just there, reading poorly written lines. No energy at all. Sadly she is getting free passes because she's the first woman Doctor. Well in the UK there were two million fewer viewers for episode two and it looks like another million didn't tune in for episode three. So we'll see where this experiment in using a bland Doctor to be our moral teacher ends up.

Unforgivably dull. Jodie was fine and will be a totally fine Doctor, as we all knew. But they'll need to pick this up and quickly. The dialogue was stodgy, the characters dry and dull, the storyline did not have the layers we've come to expect from the Doctor. The crime procedural feel doesn't work for the Doctor. It just doesn't. Jodie has all the spark and charm of a Smith Doctor and it just seems weird with the dark surroundings. People have talked about Capaldi's talents being wasted by Moffat's convoluted plots. Let's see how Chibnall squanders the grand potential of the first female Doctor.

The Doctor is smart, cunning, kind, almost overconfident, an entertainer, and at times, almost omniscient in his ability to solve problems. and when all else fails, he drops his name and the problem flees. The 13th Doctor has the smarts, the kindness, is somewhat cunning, but lacks the rest in spades. She doubts herself constantly, stopping to give a pep talk instead of charging ahead while giving the companions a sense of wonder and trust that everything is going to be okay without being told. It sounded more like she was convincing herself than them. As far as entertaining, her personality is lacking so much, it seems more like they took a random person from a crowd and said, "Want to be The Doctor?" The Doctor has always had a force of personality that makes everyone in the room listen to him or at least pay attention to what wild story he is making up to stall for time, but 13 is the most static Doctor so far.
Look back at all the previous female leads, Rose, Martha, Donna, Clair, freaking River Song! And then compare them to this Doctor now. If they are the bar, then Jodie has yet to even come close to touching it.
We have not seen any good enemies that can push 13 to her limits yet, but I doubt that even then, with this team, that it would turn out great. I am still going to watch and hope that I am wrong, but the signs are not promising.

Well, the first episode is out of a new science fiction show on the BBC. I watched it really hoping it would be a good program. I went over every detail of this 1 hour and 1-minute show. After reviewing the entire episode and trying to be as objective as possible I found the story was weak and the actual script failed to suspend disbelief and poorly written. To make matters worse, the lead female character has a terrible Yorkshire accent that made many words indecipherable or it was necessary to pause the program to try to figure out what was being said. (to be clear, I have understood Ozzy Osborne's Brummie at times better than this person). If she needs an accent, she should learn to enunciate! The acting on the part of the lead female was not believable at all and seemed overacted at times. This is really consistent with her other work in Broadchurch, Venus or Trust Me so not entirely unexpected. The poor script probably did not help either. The opening was slow but the pace picked up after about 41 minutes. The episode also required a lot of exposition but that was also expected. The violence was also on the higher end and would probably not be good for a younger viewer. The ending scene was not just unbelievable but plain silly. The production and writing crew are completely new and comprised of a majority of females. Now, this really should not matter in any other circumstance. But the obvious feminist overtones are clear and really are distracting from creating a quality science fiction program. Overall this episode was a big disappointment. Hopefully, one day the BBC will see they need to bring back Doctor Who and not this experiment in poor science fiction. Expand

All in all, “The Woman Who Fell To Earth” succeeds as a statement of intent for this brand new era of Doctor Who, telling us that it’s going to be easily accessible, gorgeous to look at and listen to, all about the character drama and brought to life with a lead actress who has a lot of energy. Goofy and curious, commanding and contemplative, Thirteen is already well on her way to demonstrating the complex emotional makeup that is the Doctor. The premiere episode here, “The Woman Who Fell to Earth,” reminded me, more than anything, of “The X-Files,” when it was really good. It takes you back to the days when Doctor Who was a fun sci-fi procedural. ... [The alien] resembles some gleaming villain out of a Marvel movie, which makes his blokey name, Tim Shaw, even more incongruously funny. This is Doctor Who at its best--nerdy and chilling and quick with a joke. And, most significantly of all, generous of spirit, a quality that simply shimmers off Whittaker.
