The negative reviews of this show are pretty harsh. Are some of the jokes a little forced and have obvious setups? Sure. But it's a fantastically funny program if you relax and just let it be its original setting self. This is clearly dedicated to a certain crowd..which I happen to be a part of. The cutaways and commercials are magnificent if you had earlier consumed a medicinal cookie! The negative reviews of this show are pretty harsh. Also, Netflix is the perfect medium for this show-it's about time there's a program taking place in a dispensary. Kathy Bates is a great choice in the lead as a veteran political activist. Betsy Sodaro is brilliant as well! I don't, however, like the live audience: in my opinion it should never be used. In conclusion, I'm just a random, non-important guy in the Midwest and I loved it. I hope there's many more episodes to come! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i very much liked the show and how it portrayed a PTSD character and his coping mechanism. Which happens to be weed. Some jokes feel outdated and repetitive. Expand

This series is the first to explore the sale and consumption of marijuana legally, is funny and very creative, artistic and uplifting. I love it

After scrolling from so many shows, I loved it. Good jokes, sensible humors and not for stoners only. Netflix hardly produce good shows and even if they do, the shows are discontinued. Anxiously waiting for new episodes!

Kathy Bates does a pretty well job portraying an activist. She is able to bring nuances to her character, but it feels like she's miscasted here and her talent falls short.

This show is far from being the best one. But if you use weed this show might as well be your cup of tea. The acting is subpar, but overall could be nice binge.

I can see a Golden Globe nomination happening for Kathy Bates at some point. They started well, now they need to fix the writing. The first season has 10 more episodes ordered, so they can still bounce back.

I think the show is judged harshly. It's a very nice show and it shouldn't be taken seriously. Maybe they needed to hire more talented writers. I enjoy it so far.

I got high and binged the whole thing and it seemed ''okay'' done show. But thinking about it it can be really offensive to some people, hence the poor reviews.

It's not the best show that came out this year, but let's hope it's the start of a trend and new stoner sitcoms emerge in the next couple of years. =)

Tone Bell and Kathy Bates are amazing screen partners. They are the best part of the show for me. Even if they cancelled it after one season, i'd still binge it again.

Maybe this is going to be one of those shows panned by critics, but enjoyed by casual marijuana users. Users, who by the way are the target audience .

The cast lacks chemistry, but that can be easily forgotten if you watch while you're stoned. The show is going nowhere, but I was actually surprised by the final episode.

I can't believe Chuch Lorre created this sow. The laugh track feels kinda outdated. I don't see the musical numbers and the animated features as anything less than a tool for stoner pleasing.

It's very hard to believe Kathy Bates left American Horror Story to do a stoner comedy that already feels kinda odd. Let's hope future episodes give us a reason to stick around

Am I the only one that was relieved when they cut that dreadful opening credits? Most of the characters are unlikeable, but it's worth watching even just for miss Kathy Bates

It seems like a generally nice and original show. Kathy Bates is going her best here. I can't fight the lack of actual original jokes, but I did laugh a couple of times.

Chuck Lorre's shows are not what they once were. Disjointed is just another stoner sitcom and people who take it way too seriously need to chill. At this point with those reviews I don't see a second season happening.

Is this what a Netflix original sitcom looks like? I'm having hard time believing this is all of it. The show has huge potential and I'm hoping it has a chance.

You may not like this show after watching he first episode, but it gets some getting used to. The cast is adorable and some of the issues tackled are relevant

Disjointed serves as a look inside a stoner's life. At times it feels insulting and like the stoners are made fun of. But once you get past that you'll like it.

I love seeing that half of the cast is people of color. Sadly, at times i get the feeling that some of those are token characters, which I feel needs to stop and be addressed.

I don't think any of the writers were sober while writing this show. No one making it is not taking it seriously, so the negative reviews are too much.

This is not Emmy worth material, but you can kill time with it. I think it still leaves many to be desired, but it's not as bad as some people say .

What is so bad about this show?
Do critics hate it because it portrays marijuana in such a positive light?
And would a show like this one survive on ABC, NBC, CBS? I don't think so.

I've seen tons of sitcoms and I can say that I liked this one. I see it as a pot commercial, which can be both a good and a bad thing. Everything depends on your perspective.

I don't think the pot is the problem. I feel like the writers wanted to write something original and ended up using recycled jokes, which can be hilarious sometimes.

I like what I've seen so far. I try to not dig too deep for meaning and character growth. However, i think the show has great potential and Kathy Bates is killing it.

The comedy here consists primarily of jokes that would not have been out of place on one of those old Cheech and Chong comedy records. ... The rest of the time, it’s strictly sitcom writing at its most rote.

Though many of the show’s jokes center around pot humor (one episode ends with a character sitting in her parked car, convinced she’s driving down the highway), there’s also some depth.
