Wow, this is awful. I didn't even make it through the first episode. Kathy Bates is wonderful, of course, but no one else on the show can act worth a damn. The writing is mostly a pretty standard pile of stoner jokes, and not even hard-core stoners are going to think they're funny. And the laugh track just about drove me up the wall.

I wanted to like this show, really, I did. I just

Overused 80's laugh track.... Do I need to say more? Seriously I thought all directors/producers knew that there hasn't been any critically acclaimed, popular shows featuring a laugh track since Friends! (or at least half of it). Unless you have a big 90's sitcom nostalgia thing going on, avoid this show at all costs. Even the heaviest stoners will find Disjointed's pacing incredulouslyOverused 80's laugh track.... Anyone watching this show for more than 2 minutes needs to see someone that can help them.
I needed to go outside and make sure I was OK after being attacked with stupidity for two minutes.
Hard to describe how absolutely awful this is.
Worse show I have ever seen in 65 years.

I have never watched a tv show more boring than Disjointed. I felt like the comedy was too forced and just copy and pasted out of a stoner stereotype book. I get that the show is trying to be pro weed but don't expect the tv show to help your cause when your show is portraying 'stoners' in the worst possible way. If you're into boring tv shows that make people who smoke weed look stupid and a well-known lead then Disjoined is for you. Don't get too attached to the show though I can almost put money on it that the show will not see another season. Expand

Absolutely abysmal. Contrived, predictable, and perhaps worst of all, unfunny. Kathy Bates was the only not-terrible part of the show, and that's stretching it a bit. Really not worth putting your time into, in all honesty.

If you're looking for something nuanced, clever or funny, look elsewhere. If you want to listen to the same old recycled stoner jokes for entire episodes at a time,

Wife and I watched three episodes. Thought Bates overacted and most of the characters were uninteresting. May convince non-users that pot makes you more stupid than funny. There is too much good material on Amazon and Netflix for me to waste my time on this show. Maybe you have to be stoned to enjoy it.

This is the worst comedy I have seen in over 20 years. I don't know who would give it a score of 10. Even the people giving it a 10 say, "The writing needs to be fixed. Let's hope it bounces back in the second season." Shows that score a perfect 10 don't need to bounce back! What is wrong with people?
The weed is not the problem. The problem is the writing and the laughing and the laugh

If the substance of Disjointed seems straight out of 1972, so does its structure.

The comedy here consists primarily of jokes that would not have been out of place on one of those old Cheech and Chong comedy records. ... The rest of the time, it’s strictly sitcom writing at its most rote.

Though many of the show’s jokes center around pot humor (one episode ends with a character sitting in her parked car, convinced she’s driving down the highway), there’s also some depth.
