Tone Bell and Kathy Bates are amazing screen partners. They are the best part of the show for me. Even if they cancelled it after one season, i'd still binge it again.

this series is really disjointed in a way we know right? , and that is all about. if you dont like it is because you dont understand it. I love it. =D

After scrolling from so many shows, I loved it. Good jokes, sensible humors and not for stoners only. Netflix hardly produce good shows and even if they do, the shows are discontinued. Anxiously waiting for new episodes!

The negative reviews of this show are pretty harsh. Are some of the jokes a little forced and have obvious setups? Sure. But it's a fantastically funny program if you relax and just let it be its original setting self. This is clearly dedicated to a certain crowd..which I happen to be a part of. Also, Netflix is the perfect medium for this show-it's about time there's a program taking place in a dispensary. Kathy Bates is a great choice in the lead as a veteran political activist. Betsy Sodaro is brilliant as well! I don't, however, like the live audience: in my opinion it should never be used. In conclusion, I'm just a random, non-important guy in the Midwest and I loved it. I hope there's many more episodes to come! Expand

I got high and binged the whole thing and it seemed ''okay'' done show. But thinking about it it can be really offensive to some people, hence the poor reviews.

Kathy Bates does a pretty well job portraying an activist. She is able to bring nuances to her character, but it feels like she's miscasted here and her talent falls short.

It's not the best show that came out this year, but let's hope it's the start of a trend and new stoner sitcoms emerge in the next couple of years. =)

I think the show is judged harshly. It's a very nice show and it shouldn't be taken seriously. Maybe they needed to hire more talented writers. I enjoy it so far.

This show is far from being the best one. But if you use weed this show might as well be your cup of tea. The acting is subpar, but overall could be nice binge.

It seems like a generally nice and original show. Kathy Bates is going her best here. I can't fight the lack of actual original jokes, but I did laugh a couple of times.

What is so bad about this show?
Do critics hate it because it portrays marijuana in such a positive light?
And would a show like this one survive on ABC, NBC, CBS? I don't think so.

Not many people are watching this hilarious show. I think it's because it's still pretty new. (not even a month since it premiered) My friends and I (five 20 years olds) love it and we're not regular pot users.

This is an ideal series to watch at night while enjoying a joint before sleep. It is an easy series to get into, some cut away scenes are truly funny. Even tho some of the jokes can seem forces at times, it can be a pleasurable watching experience. There are no Viola Davis-esq characters but the show does not need them.

I really dont know why, as a film major, medicinal and recreational weed advocate, family member of PTSD patient and huge fan of the show i am appalled at some of the opinionated and Clearly government funded reviews on the show to try and prevent a second season. Check Voges terrible article on it. None of these "professional" websites offering reviews mention how it sheds light on so many current issues of our time not just surrounding the pot industry. Carters story is heartwarming and just the tip of the ice berg when it comes to this show, other cultural issues and social injustice issues are tackled either subliminally or directly and in a comedy sitcom style. I think this show is a powerful tool for anyone involved in this industry, as a patient or a dispensary owner or whatever, this show was just absolutely amazing and enjoyable and was able to even convince my very old fashioned parents to want to try to smoke weed. please anyone reading this continue to spread the gospil of the show. This is a show i think everyone should watch for some clear knowledge on the world and how medical marijuanna can really help people in need. it is just all around a fantastic show, weather you agree with how it was filmed or not or some of the jokes look at the bigger picture. I can see a Golden Globe nomination happening for Kathy Bates at some point. They started well, now they need to fix the writing. The first season has 10 more episodes ordered, so they can still bounce back.

Kathy Bates is a gem and steals almost every scene she is in. I'm not sure the ensemble would be able to stand on their own without her, but the rest of the core cast all brings something worthwhile to the table. The characters were mostly relatable and engaging, particularly the security guard suffering from PTSD. Some of them missed the mark, Dank and Dabby for instance (I am not counting them as the "core cast" as they seem to be reoccurring guest characters). Every time those two were on screen I felt the need to reach through my tv and punch them in the face. Seriously, I really hate those two characters. I understand why they exist to portray the stereotype of the "slacker stoners," and this *is* a Chuck Lorre show after all.

I highly recommend everyone give this show a chance, and I honestly don't understand how it's ratings are so low. While this isn't going to change the face of the industry, it is a very good show. It may go too far into stereotypical portrayals at times it makes sense coming from who created it. As cannabis is growing in mainstream expectance it only makes sense for a show like this to exist.

Wow, this is awful. I didn't even make it through the first episode. Kathy Bates is wonderful, of course, but no one else on the show can act worth a damn. The writing is mostly a pretty standard pile of stoner jokes, and not even hard-core stoners are going to think they're funny. And the laugh track just about drove me up the wall.

Anyone watching this show for more than 2 minutes needs to see someone that can help them.

Absolutely abysmal. Contrived, predictable, and perhaps worst of all, unfunny. Kathy Bates was the only not-terrible part of the show, and that's stretching it a bit. Really not worth putting your time into, in all honesty.

If you're looking for something nuanced, clever or funny, look elsewhere. If you want to listen to the same old recycled stoner jokes for entire episodes at a time,

Wife and I watched three episodes. Thought Bates overacted and most of the characters were uninteresting. May convince non-users that pot makes you more stupid than funny. There is too much good material on Amazon and Netflix for me to waste my time on this show. Maybe you have to be stoned to enjoy it.

This is the worst comedy I have seen in over 20 years. I don't know who would give it a score of 10. Even the people giving it a 10 say, "The writing needs to be fixed. Let's hope it bounces back in the second season." Shows that score a perfect 10 don't need to bounce back! What is wrong with people?

The comedy here consists primarily of jokes that would not have been out of place on one of those old Cheech and Chong comedy records. ... The rest of the time, it’s strictly sitcom writing at its most rote.

Though many of the show’s jokes center around pot humor (one episode ends with a character sitting in her parked car, convinced she’s driving down the highway), there’s also some depth.
