I don't get the mediocre reviews for this show. So far, I like it, but I am into shows that are a bit weird, mystical, and have confusing strands that eventually come together. The cast is great! I am a huge fan of Jason Isaacs (R.I.P. AWAKE -gone too soon). Anne Heche is underused, but hoping she becomes more central. Is there some bias against religious shows? I really don't understand all the negative reviews. To me this is exactly what I want. Great story and subject matter, mystery, great cast, great production values, pretty good acting.

I am not fond of any religious stuff, but this high suspense multicultural drama did win me over after few chapters. there is lot of complexity in the story which might be confusing at first (not more than Game of Thrones), but the plot moves fast and kept me on the edge most of the time, Main characters are archetypal (similar to Bridge) and not developed in depth, but still somehowI am not fond of any religious stuff, but this high suspense multicultural drama did win me over after few chapters. there is lot of complexity in the story which might be confusing at first (not more than Game of Thrones), but the plot moves fast and kept me on the edge most of the time, Main characters are archetypal (similar to Bridge) and not developed in depth, but still somehow believable and like able. Dig is a complex piece of drama which appeals to people like me who are interested in the historical aspects of the Bible; people like me who have read the book of Revelation and finally, people like me who are following the prophecies and know some things about the preparations for the Third Temple to be built. In my opinion the characters are interesting, the history sticks to the facts we have been told, realistic characters, a look at how Jerusalem is today, good script-writers, and the best location possible. I will point out that the plot is complicated, but made easier to follow if one has read anything about the Third Temple. I do realize this is a fictional "take" on what is in the process of happening. I do not know how long this story line can continue, but I do so much look forward each week to see what twists and turns come next. Expand

OMG can more stuff be thrown at us in the pilot? Instead of building a story slowly "Dig" is all over the place, literally. It was just a scratch-my-head mess. I did not even get a sense of what this is suppose to be about or who the characters are. So much information but no idea of what the information means. In one scene in Mexico the sound track music was Middle Eastern....what?OMG can more stuff be thrown at us in the pilot? Instead of building a story slowly "Dig" is all over the place, literally. This show had so much wasted potential. The premise is so intriguing, and it pretty much hooks you from the start. It is also clear that the creators actually did their research, with the antagonists being based on real-life extremist groups. Unfortunately, the storytelling feels incredibly rushed, and the ending is a massive cop-out which leaves gaping plot holes. The twists in the lastThis show had so much wasted potential. It is also clear that the creators actually did their research, with the antagonists being based on real-life extremist groups. Unfortunately, the storytelling feels incredibly rushed, and the ending is a massive cop-out which leaves gaping plot holes. The twists in the last few episodes feel almost tacked-on, as if the execs at USA Network told them to wrap it up in order to turn it into an "event series". By this point, the show also loses focus by concentrating excessively on the murder of poor-man's-Laura-Palmer Emma Wilson instead of focusing on the conspiracies and political intrigue.

With its strong premise and solid acting, Dig could have been excellent. Had it been treated as a proper series and had it been produced through a platform such as Amazon Prime or Netflix, instead of being a miniseries for a second-rate cable channel, it would have been a brilliant show. Unfortunately, as it stands, Dig is a mess .

And even tho' the show reveals a lot of darkness in the human soul and consciousness, it has some clearly defined good guys who bring light into the darkness. The characters of Peter, Golan, Avram, the Essene and Golan's uncle are genuinely good souls, and are good apart from religion.

In fact, much can be learned from the Essene, whose life is strength and who teaches by his actions. He totally rivets me.

Also I have loved watching the interaction between Golan and Peter, who really have been like brothers, one Christian and one Jew, both lapsed in their religion.

To me DIG is a great show, unlike a lot of dramatic series in recent history which are so immersed in unrelenting evil and violence that they seem to poison the human spirit, DIG is different. It gives the audience something to actually think about rather than pandering to all that is the worst in human beings. DIG asks us to consider what we really think about religion and its use and misuse by its practitioners, whatever their beliefs and purposes might be, and it does so with an intriguing story!

Dig is a huge disappoinment. I waited 'till the very last episode for something big to happen, but it never did. There isn't any pay-off for the 10 hours that I spent watching. You can save your time, though.

Gideon Raff and Tim Kring's bungled attempt to somehow dumb down Dan Brown is merely a waste of time and ample talent.

Some of the show is effective, especially the parts that double down on anything eerie or particularly ominous.... [But] Too often the series confuses "mysterious" with "dull."
