Sep 13, 2014I was totally hooked. Compelling characters, beautifully shot, tons of plot. Hope it continues as a series on lifetime! I wish I could watch episode 2 next week! Lauren Ambrose was excellent.

Sep 13, 2014Gritty civil war. Wasn't expecting so much violence. Could have done with less and still tell the story. A bit jagged like they were trying to cram too much together into a 2 hour show and then left it hanging at the end. Not quite what I was expecting from Sparks. I love his movies, but this could have been better.

Sep 13, 2014I was so excited to see this movie because of Nicholas Sparks...I have read most of his books, which have brought me to tears. But this movie was confusing and boring. Very sorry, since I have to say that I would not recommend spending 2 hours watching this.

Sep 14, 2014What the He!! What kind of an ending was that! That pissed me off! If this is a movie its a crappy one with that ending. If its a series, I cant find any more episodes. Is the season in one episode? I'm so confused.

Sep 14, 2014This was setting on the edge of the seat nail biting amazing show and Deliverance Creek along with Hell on Wheels are the two best shows on TV in the past 10 years we need more writers and show's like these. Hope to see DC back soon. Thanks for a show that brings you onto it .

Sep 14, 2014I can't wait for this to get picked up as a weekly. Yes, it was a bit fast paced but they had to pack (in my own opinion) 4 hours of stories into 2 in hopes of a pick up. It's full of gritty characters and more than a few amazing story lines. I'm sure that if continued it will not disappoint. Awesome, Awesome.

Sep 14, 2014I love it and was hooked, so many unanswered questions, want to see more!!! I hope it becomes a new series on lifetime and soon, I wanna know whats going to happen.

Sep 14, 2014We both enjoyed the movie. Not many series catch our attention. A bunch of good unknown actors/actresses. Look forward to seeing it weekly, just like Hell on Wheels...

Sep 14, 2014Love westerns and would like to see this one succeed. It's obvious that there were loose ends because of the potential of a new series. A great reprieve from the crap reality TV that dominates TV now!

Sep 18, 2014I admit to being a regular Lifetime Network viewer, and am also interested in history. This show was awesome, it drew the viewer into the story-line well, and I would continue to watch the show....hoping that it becomes a series. I respectfully disagree with the post that said this was a boring movie, and didn't feel that it was confusing (maybe if you weren't paying attention, it could be).

It's diverting enough while it goes by, even if you can see where the story's going long before it gets there.

For fans of westerns, the production offers a reasonably gritty view of the period, and a few unforeseen twists. But it does little to whet one’s appetite for a series pickup.

Many things are left up in the air by movie’s end that it’s hard to imagine making this for any other reason than to introduce a series. But there’s also a pulpy enthusiasm surrounding its many twists and loopholes.
