    For now, the huge Death in Paradise fanbase will be relieved Gilet has taken to the job like a natural. Fingers crossed, he sticks around long enough to leave a lasting impression.

    The journey to solving the mystery was enjoyable. .... As for the relationships between Wilson and the Saint Marie police force; they need work. Wilson isn’t as self-consciously quirky or comedic as his predecessors.
