Even this show reviews are fake. Clearly normal people hate it, yet, the reviews try to pass this garbage as something cool. It's a humorless, racist garbage. Rot in hell.

Reviews are clearly fake. This show is garbage, and its second season is as bad and disgusting as the first one. Its a racist, humorless, bad acted, and unrealistic show with no possible redemption whatsoever. It has, without a shadow of a doubt, an inherent worthless and repulsively obvious political agenda which is outstandingly annoying, no matter your own political views. You will struggle to find a character who you completely agree with in this show. And that is why it is so good.

This show is fantastic; season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off. I'm pretty amused by the terror this show evokes in some of the users here - it's kind of hilarious reading comments like "why can't there be a show called 'Dear Black People'?" etc. You guys: the show isn't 100% realistic but the issues that it addresses - microaggressions, identity formation, racial trauma, etc. -This show is fantastic; season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off. The perspective from which these issues are being addressed assumes that black people sometimes don't see or experience the world the way white people do, and that is also real. But it isn't scary mind poison, it's just a way to see from another person's perspective. It's nice to watch something with such a specific point of view. Expand

Volume II is even better than the first one. Dear White People is sharper, funnier and important as always.

Many Americans need a study guide on how to comport themselves as decent human beings and the title might as well be "Dear White People." As a middle-aged white male, I find this series entertaining and necessary and wish more of my cohorts would watch it with an open mind.

It's not a show you put on that can play in the background while you make a sandwich. It demands attention, but if you "watch closely" as the narrator tells you, you may just get something out of Dear White People. It's entertaining as well as thought provoking, and funny without being jokey, but more importantly it leaves you wanting more, which is really what you want out of a show.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The critics seem to be giving Dear White People 3 extra points because it agrees with their political opinions. Forget the politics, this show is good, not great. It's fast-paced enough that it keeps you entertained, its characters are interesting enough, but its jokes can often miss and its dramatization can be quite unbelievable.

Coco's episode was excellent and by far my favorite. Troy went from the student of the year to not giving a **** after one incident, but what instead of a real look into his issues, we see him go on a drug trip and become a comedian. Sam is getting trolled, and we eventually find out by whom, but we barely hear the right's side of the story. We see a clip of white students doing a Dear Right People radio show, and they're portrayed as bumbling idiots - their points were just as invalid as Sam's.

Anyway, although I don't agree with either side's politics, the show works because it creates characters we can root for/hate. It keeps the drama up and although its storytelling and consequences can make you roll your eyes at times, it's pretty entertaining.

This show is incredibly witty and the dialogue is deep, clever and at the same time very attuned to adolescent pop culture. I love it so much, took me right back to my college days. Also, kind of reminded me of Dawson's creek in that all the kids are wise beyond their years, but Dear White People is much more poignant, the issues are larger, but that reflects reality. Better than the first season. Consistent, honest, moving. Watch it! It's real good, *and* also important

This season is way better than the first one. DWP is one of the best shows that Netflix have made. By some comments, we realize how IMPORTANT and necessary this show is.

Binged it in a weekend. It was good, but not as good as the first season. Reggie criminally got only one episode, Troy had nothing to do all season, and I wasn't feeling the whole secret society overarching plot. It's getting a little disconnected from reality.

This is a strong show. Believable characters, great directions, great writing, great acting. It's a show which isn't shy with its themes and deals with all sides and tries to reflect reality. The entire show is worth watching but season two is an outstanding season.

While i can understand the draw this is just a show that never really lands for me. It feels scattershot and the way it's shot frustrates me. Characters seem like loaded stereotypes of our generation without the humour to make doing so not cringe.

This is the most racist thing I have ever seen.
And I'm a latino before you play the white card with me.
    Just awful.

Dear White People has leveled up in quality during its second season--no small feat considering how consistently strong it was during its freshman outing.

The series doesn’t always perfectly balance its vibrant sense of humor with its more serious interrogations. But for the most part, it’s as entertaining as it is pointed, deepening the topics of Season 1 by alluding to the reality outside the show.

Maybe Dear White People isn't sure yet how to also be a generation-spanning mystery. Watching the show built over two seasons leaves me with little doubt that Dear White People can grow into that genre as well. In a Too Much TV landscape, Dear White People is a show I didn't write about at all in its first season, but it has become one of the best things on TV and deserves to be discussed as such.
