Summary: It's time for the settlers' annual foot race with the Native Americans which is always a hotly contested affair. Daniel is Boonesborough's best runner but he sprains an ankle and is unable to compete. It's up to Jericho Jones to carry the load for the settlers against the noble redmen and their swift runner.
