I dislike predictability in a strong way. I can't watch shows like Blindspot because it's the same episode every time in a new light. I love how the plot changes in this show. Very disappointed with the new fall lineup so far. This was one of the few pleasant surprises which is bad news since every show I like usually winds up canceled (sorry Bad Judge).

And the Golden Age of funny women on TV continues! I was hoping Crazy Ex-Girlfriend would be great and it freakin' is. Rachel Bloom is my new crush. I can't remember seeing a more solid pilot recently.

Sometimes you watch a pilot and even though you love it, you feel nervous about whether it'll make it or not. Now...I don't know nothin' about nothin', BUT I don't have that feeling about this show. It feels like a hit.

The nicest thing I can say about the pilot is that nothing stuck out. Nothing took me out of the moment and made me think, "Well, that didn't quite work." From the way it's shot, to the casting, to the writing, comedy, performances, and of course, the musical numbers, all of it works. I mean, heck, even the previews for next week are hilarious.

Loved the band instruments being taken away from the kids during the opening musical number because of funding cuts. And the Nipsey Hussle story is hilarious.

Like the love interest dude, Greg. Josh is great. Oh, and her new pal Paula makes me smile.

*Sigh* I am so smitten right now. It can't last, can it? That'd be crazy.

By the way, Ms. Bloom created and writes this show, along with Aline Brosh McKenna who wrote The Devil Wears Prada. Soooo...this show gots serious pedigree. js

This is my favorite new show of the season! I love the main character as well as all of the supporting characters. I find this show thoroughly charming and love how they break into clever musical numbers in each episode. I hope this show is successful.

Crazy Ex-girlfriend is underrated, and underwatched. I'm guessing that women aren't watching it because they don't want to be a crazy ex, and men don't watch it, because it has a musical element (albeit a slightly seditious one). When I saw the teasers, I thought it was going to be another dumb American sitcom but after watching five episodes, it's now my fave comedy.

CrazyEx is different. It's quirky, witty and refreshing. The main character, Rebecca Bunch played by Rachel Bloom is hilarious and confident with her Spanx but ridden with daddy issues. She parodies real life current situations i.e. misplaced

I like the show for its originality and unpredictability and Rachel Bloom is a comedic genius. Unfortunately most won't get her brand of humour and the show might not last longer than one season....

It's a quite funny show, i just don't enjoy the premise of it... the idea of someone being that obsessed with someone because of a summer fling for me isn't very funny, just really sad, the songs are probably the most creative part of the show

It's featuring two types of love. Discriminate and indiscriminate loves. Rebecca loves Josh obsessively but Greg loves her in a controlled way and i think this is the key note that this show is attractive to follow.

I think this show has the potential to fill several niches on network TV. First off, while I wouldn't call it a musical...it totally has the potential to be a musical comedy series. With Smash a fond memory and Glee off of the table, I think with Bloom and Donna Lynn Champlin, alone, the show could have some killer, "Hollywood" style numbers...because they've proven off screen how they are vocal masters. I've seen Champlin on Broadway, in James Joyce's The Dead, and she was unreal. I saw that the show had a weak rating for the pilot. That's a shame...but it seems people are getting into it, as most sites are showing it with a fairly positive rating/reaction. My fingers are crossed!! Expand

This show is rooted in a billion TV and movie cliches which may put off skeptics. But I urge you not to be deterred by that because this show is also funny and sweet with great music. The lead (who is also the co-creator) is very charming, complemented by equally well-cast supporting characters. I really liked the premiere.

There were basically two songs (both quite good) in the initial episode so it's hard to call this show a musical. The show, and Rachel, just perfectly catch the realities of hitting one's 30s and realizing you're not really happy with your life. Fixing it turns out not to be as easy as Rachel had expected, but it makes for a funny, interesting, clever, and funny show.

The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend premiere also was full of surprises, taking oddball twists and turns with, not only Rebecca, but the supporting characters as well. All in all, an impressive prime-time debut for Bloom as star, co-creator and executive producer of the slyly crafted show. That's the good news. The great news is that, from what the CW has revealed of future episodes, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend appears to be staying on the wild and unpredictable track.
