The problem with the critics is that they are just too old for their jobs. Show was awesome. I Tivo'd every show. I was sooooo upset to see the Stars on law & order season primers that I googled the show to find out it was Axed. Perhaps NBC needs a wake up call, They started in an odd time but yet it still found an audience. They grren lighted Heros.... Give me a break

I am so upset they cancelled this show!!! I wrote NBC an e-mail letting them know how pissed I was. I totally agree with everything Jennifer M said, I suggest anyone who liked Conviction should contact NBC and tell them so. Maybe they'll bring it back to life!

This show was cancelled for the same reason bush is president. People are not capable of thinking and engaging their mind with good tv instead they need to be spoon fed 'reality' tv garbage.

I thought it was well done, and I always either watched or recorded it. My question is, with the viewer reviews (and we're the ones who matter, right?) being so glowing, mostly, 9's and 10's, why the HELL would they cancel this show? Personally, I think there are TOO many Law and Orders now, they diluted the brilliance of the first two and I was looking for new blood. I can't believe that they'd rather continue with inferior programs and let Conviction go. Where was our vote in the matter? You worry too much about what "Critics" say when I am willing to bet they watched one maybe two episodes and were done with it. NBC disappoints me left and right lately.

I can't believe this show was cancelled. As a 27 year old (target demographic member) I thought this would be the show that replaced Friends as THE must see show of the week. There are so many poorly written courtroom shows out there. This one had the right balance of personal lives and professional drama to make for great viewing!

It seems NBC is determined to renew its effort to suck the bottom all over again. Critics again have managed to "daisy chain" each other into believing this show is a loser. They're worst than a herd of pregnant yaks. That NBC listens to them....They have no idea, in general, what the American public really likes, and they have the same number of balls as shuffle board--none! And the fact that NBC keeps trying to rub it in my face by putting it in my other devoted time slots of Law & Order on Tues/ Wed/ and Sun just helped me kick the TV habit. I generally like it and am giving it a chance. I don't see anything "new" on it yet - typical law show - a cross between la law and law/order. Like seeing J. August Richards in another show, however his character seems a bit shallow so far, hope it steps up a bit.

It's LA Law for the new millenium, but it has too many young faces with no elder statesman to guide them. Acting is better than average; script is okay; situations seem realistic. I can't figure out who the "star" of the show is, but the "newbie" is mercilessly teased by his co-workers. Hazing is banned at most college fraternities, and should not be part of this show.

I seem to be in the minority but I dug the show. I think they're really working on creating grey characters which I appreciate over the traditional black and white we usually see - especially within the context of the legal system.
