How could Dick Wolf even create this? It is horrible, and is nothing like Law and Order: CI or SVU! What's with Cabot being there? She's in witness protection! It doesn't make sense!

Terrible. A disgrace to the L&O show and a disservice to young lawyers everywhere!

Tired from the very beginning, this show does not have a drop of originality. The characters are just as bland as the plot. A total waste of time.

I can't believe what a total waste of time this is. Why does the African American have to be with a tweeked out drug addict musician, and her being white is just besides the point. WHy, with all of the intelligent beautiful women, he could date he would settle with that. It seems to be stereotype that Black men just want to be with white woman, quality doesn't matter. I expected more from the Wolfe series. I am so disappointed. And the fact that NBC keeps trying to rub it in my face by putting it in my other devoted time slots of Law & Order on Tues/ Wed/ and Sun just helped me kick the TV habit. Now I check the interned so I won't have to be subjected to that silliness. krl Expand

In a word, tedious. My wife wanted to walk out 20 minutes into the show. We thoroughly enjoy Mr. Wolf's other programs, especially "Criminal Intent". This show is simply criminal, with no good intent. Too many court cases not followed enough to engage the viewer, far too much of the ADA's personal lives, and particularly sappy music intrusively injected at the formulaic moments In a word, tedious. Too many court cases not followed enough to engage the viewer, far too much of the ADA's personal lives, and particularly sappy music intrusively injected at the formulaic moments of purportedly high personal drama. Well, we are not the targeted demographic, but I'm sure that even the twenty-somethings would want the good stories typically seen in the other Law and Order shows with the younger casts they can presumably better relate to. My wife thinks that this show won't last until May... Expand

A far cry from Boston Legal or even The Practice, this is so clumsy in its mix of the procedural and the personal that it should barely be legal.

"Conviction" does exhibit a bit more creative promise than "Trial by Jury."
