Final Thoughts:

Citadel is a spy-thriller after my own heart, racing right up my street in all its cinematic and action-packed glory. The 6-episode series backed by The Russo Brothers kick starts with The Human Enigma and Spies Appear In Night Time, setting the fairly derivative stage with bombastic style and two frustratingly beautiful leads (Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas are both Fine with a capital F, italics, bold, and underlined before being struck through to signify way outta my league).

Despite my only somewhat serious anger at God for dealing me dirty, Madden and Chopra both shine (I've missed Priyanka in an action role since Quantico was unjustly cut short) and crackle with chemistry. The plot is a little rote so far with slivers of humour, but if the telegraphed plot points I think will happen come to pass, its slick production won't be enough to save it.
