Absolutely incredible mini-series that everyone should watch. Every aspect of this is just stunning - acting, photo, authenticity. Entertaining and horrifying at the same time. If your smart enough, you'll learn something too ... don't cheat and lie.

One of the best shows in recent memory, this is a perfect distillation of USSR corruption, idiocy, and short-sightedness - and it happens to be an terrifying cautionary tale of the large-scale disaster currently underway called global warming.

Incredible actors, they told the story so well, it seemed like we were there, listening to the real story by the real people in real life. Too bad it had to be a real story in real life behind it. Of course, it's also compelling to understand how the efforts of the Soviet authorities helped or compounded this horror. Awesome and in the same time fearful Mini-Series TV Show. Very well shown the life of those times. And of course event of the time. Thanks to people who sacrificed their lives to eliminate that accident.

It's okay but quite over the top. It seems like the writers exaggerated every aspect of the story as much as possible to increase the drama and scare the audience off nuclear power.

This show have everything, emotions, love , politics problems but at the center it are emotion. This was a really good first episode and contained a lot of tension and production design was on point.
