Unfortunately, the drama between Federline and Jackson seems to be about the only reason to tune in, making this serving of “Fit Club” especially tasteless.

Aside from a recalcitrant Brown, the contestants are easy to root for: feisty, vulnerable, and winningly honest about how they got there.

None of the stories is particularly memorable and, interestingly, no one suggests that weight gain was a by-product of depression from losing the spotlight.
