If it aint broke don't fix it, is the mantra this show takes on in it's 3rd season.

One of the best British comedy series for a long time. I always think UK comedy is a bit tame (I'm from UK) but the humour in Catastrophe breaks from that and you can tell it's Rob Delaney's writing that shines through.

Funny and charming... well worth a watch.

Not as good as the first two season, not as funny.
It had a more serious tone. I wouldn't have minded if they had balanced it out with humour.
The beginning of the season spent too much time on Sharon's possible infidelity. Rob's unsuccessful search for a new job didn't do it for me, either. It felt there was much less happening, the plot was kind of stalling halfway through. I hope

Best comedy series I've seen in a long time. The acting is brilliant (particularly by the main two characters but, honestly, everyone is really good). The dialogue is so clever and funny and flawlessly delivered. I watched Season 3 in one seating and am thrilled it will be back for Season 4.

'Catastrophe' is such a marvelous gem. It's dark humor hiding the best of intentions and Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan are brilliant... and there's Carrie Fisher, that force of nature that will always hold a place in our hearts.

The 9 and 10 reviews are b---s---t shills who didn't even watch Season 3. I watched it and it's decidedly darker with Rob's having a drinking problem. This has turned into a series that I feel more obligated to watch to season's end than genuinely wanting to watch. Look, there are some fun parts but the two dwell on their "personal parts" way too much for their age and responsibilities. Also, the show is kind of aimless, it doesn't really have a clear goal it's shooting for. Given the final scene that's due to Rob's drinking problem, this is where season 4 will pick up and I'm just not interested in going down that hole with them - or really anything with them anymore, I've lost interest in the characters so I'm out with season 3. Expand

The first two seasons were funnier and sharper, but Catastrophe continues to be one of the most compelling shows on TV. Outstanding writing from the two multi-talented leads.

Catastrophe’s third season is it’s strongest yet. The central pairing of Sharon and Rob retain the great on screen chemistry they’ve had ever since the show began, and the writing adds even greater depth to the drama whilst still providing plenty of laughs.

Series has a much darker tone but still manages to be very funny (a bit less than previous seasons). I love it, all the ups and downs, but usual cliffhanger not so much. Can't wait for next season.

What strikes me as strange and unbelievable is that kids are totally in the background, like props. Any normal parent would know that when you get kids they are the centre of your world and that their well-being is above all else. This makes main characters look very selfish and self-centred which makes me like them a bit less.

vulgar, rara, todos son tan extraños, unicos a su manera, lo original de la serie es que se sueltan cada cosa grotesca y sin filtro entre ellos y eso hace una hermosa pareja...

Sharon on the other hand tries to acclimate to returning to work and establishing herself apart from her identity as as mother also while trying to earn Rob's trust. Its a very heavy season which accodingly leaves room for less laughs but what i hink deracts from his season is he absence of fran and chris who are a welcomed comedic relief for he show hat work well balanced against he real plights' of rob and sharon against heir absurd lives' do appreciate the reduction of robs addict friend's scenes but have o say the missed out on utilizing a potentially complex character. but i am only halfway though the season and my thoughts might might change if its able o not take itself so seriously

on the latter half every complaint i had previously is addressed, the show returns to its darkly funny self and handles its themes delicately. Carrie fishers extended role is scene stealing comedic gold, loved every second. it's still a stellar show that just needed a bit more time to pick up this time around which is understandable given the scope of this season. this show is very confident in what it is doing and sets out to do it well each time.

Catastrophe is getting more serious in season three but the good news shouldn't be unexpected: The series is no less funny. ... A gem.

The ending of Season 3 is impactful, to say the least. After a season of examining the constant awareness of responsibility outside oneself, each episode carries a potency beyond its length, dialogue, or content--especially the last one.

As the season progresses, writers/actors Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney deftly show the couple mending trust even as one party maintains a secret that, one expects, will eventually become a “little corpse.” ... B-plots involving the couple’s friends and family members prove mostly uproarious, as well.
