    No show this side of Seinfeld loves the language of conversation (the wisecrack, the pun, the withering retort, and the muttered aside) as much. ... Week in and week out, Buffy just slays me.

    Many would argue that the third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was its best and you can make a very strong case for that being true. OneMany would argue that the third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was its best and you can make a very strong case for that being true. One of the shows major strengths was the way it was able to craft well written drama that would have succeeded even without all the additional supernatural elements and that was never more apparent than this during this season’s. The fears and hopes of leaving high school, finding it difficult to find your place in the World etc. are things that everyone can relate to and Josh Whedon and his team did a brilliant job of conveying it through their scripts. The one off episodes, such as Band Candy and The Zeppo, also rank amongst the best the show did during it seven season run and we were also introduced to three great new characters in Anya, Wesley and Faith who would all go on to become fan favourites. All in all this was simply great television.… Full Review »

It ties up the high school years of the show with a bang.Another fantastic season and the season where everything came together as a whole. It ties up the high school years of the show with a bang. The villain is The Mayor, played by Harry Groener and he is fantastic, managing to be both hillarious and threatening the same time. The season also introduces Faith, another slayer played by Eliza Duskhu and she provides a very interesting alternative to Buffy.

    I don't think this series quite hit the heights that the second season in terms of its main storyline but it is very, very consistent with few if any bad episodes. The highlights for me were the episode 'Consequences', which deals with the aftermath of killing a person, 'Dobblegangland' which shows what Sunnydale would have been like had Buffy never moved there and 'The Zeppo', which focuses on a day in the life of Xander while the rest of the cast are trying to stop the end of the world.    … Full Review »

    One of my favorite seasons. Season three just improves in every aspect. The writing, the characters, the effects. Plus this season reallyOne of my favorite seasons. Season three just improves in every aspect. The writing, the characters, the effects. Plus this season really comes to a spectacular finale. Season 3 is where I truly fell in love with the show as this is where it really shines to what it is capable of. If the show had ended here it would have worked, I would have been devastated but at least it would be a high point with almost everything wrapped up in a neat little bow. Overall: The show just keeps getting better and better. Season 3 outshines everything so far.… Full Review »
