So let me just say that "Bones" has jumped the shark--has jumped a whole school of sharks--with the irony-free birth of Christ-ine in a manger and the visit of Temperance to heaven. That the show also takes the trouble to parody much more sophisticated faiths (see the ignorant, cultish treatment of Buddhism in Episode 13) makes it not just clueless but offensive. The show has lost the deft, wry touch it once had, substituting cheap sentiment, cheap devotion, and brain-dead parochialism.… Full Review »

    I have always loved the show but ever since Zach was put away (although his apprentice to the serial killer episodes were the best) it justI have always loved the show but ever since Zach was put away (although his apprentice to the serial killer episodes were the best) it just has not been the same. I was even willing to keep watching through the romance and marriage between Dr. so-so looks and the artist. (These other characters don't hold importance for me except for their work.) I was never crazy about Booth's ex-girlfriend becoming the new boss, I liked the old one better. He actually irritated me less. All too often the characters get into situations that are so ridiculous (i.e. Gravedigger) that I get bored. Not only do I know they will get out of it, I just don't care as to how they do so. I like the chemistry with Bones and Booth and hope they never get together. I have not made it a point to see the new season and only catch it when channel surfing. It just lost enough for me that I rather watch the news but I will still see an episode here and there if it can hold my interest. Also, the onslaught of replacements for Zach were completely uninteresting.… Full Review »
