The pilot shot extensively in Italy and takes great advantage of the gorgeous, historic locations, including the Roman Forum and Appian Way. The dialogue, however, is often distracting and grating.
-
OK-not-great Indiana Jones-inspired series that adds terrorists — who blow up a pyramid in the first five minutes of the premiere. Tonally, it’s very similar to ABC’s “Whiskey Cavalier.”
-
“Blood & Treasure” is a harmless, unabashed throwback and completely forgettable. Barr is as bland as any other young actor starring in a TV series while wannabe Bond girl Pernas agreeably checks the networks’ present criteria for “exotic.”
-
Blood & Treasure is a recognizable Halloween costume and an unreliably silly piece of fodder that’s too dumb to be good and not crazy enough to be a good time.
-
Globe trots to and fro with a mix of banter that tends to fall flat and action scenes that sometimes play a little better. Unfortunately, cases aren’t opened and shut within a single episode.
-
What you never get here is a single character or idea that comes across as fresh or distinctive or takes the genre any place even vaguely new.

Jan 26, 2020Bad. Tried to give it time. Did not get better. A complete turkey in my opinion.

Jun 23, 2019User Score 3.3 based on 6 ratings yet only 1 comment, lends itself to fixed results, surprised that a CBS show scores low on a CBS owned site
