the plot development is okay, the casts are also okay, the emotion is exaggerated but still okay for a drama, but the camera work is an absolute trash. not sure if the director intentionally wobble the camera to add motion sickness (which is not working and make it look like an amateur 13 years old cameraman in work who can't even still the camera) or simply just unprofessional cameraman.

Blindspot is one of those shows that is packed with promise. If it tried hard enough, it could actually be a great show. Unfortunately, the potential is mired by a number of factors.

WRITING: The writing for "Blindspot" is pretty good, all things considered. There are enough tidbits to keep the watcher interested, but at the cost of being even somewhat plausible. Many other reviews

Many other reviews cover the ridiculous part of the plot where the FBI would accept a civilian with amnesia into their ranks, being sure to arm her for the adventures. Beyond that, there is the question of how the FBI team solves the exact tattoo that corresponds to the attack/event that the tattoo hints at, mere hours before said event happens... every time. I mean... there is suspension of belief... and then there is shelving belief, altogether. "Blindspot" leans toward the shelving it end of the spectrum

ACTING: Most of the actors are pretty good. Sullivan, however, gives a very wooden performance in a way that is hard to watch... or listen to. Sullivan mumbles his lines with the urgency of a teenager who has been tasked with mowing the lawn. That is to say, there is no ambition. He does not speak his lines, he almost sighs them in the most unintelligible manner possible. If you can pick out every other word, you're doing good. It is common that we have to rewind scenes 4 or 5 times, just to figure out what is being said.

PRODUCTION: Speaking of not hearing what the actors are saying, it does not help, one bit, that the audio department is run by the utterly inept. Background music is called "background music", because it is supposed to be played in the background. The background music often overpowers the dialog, making already mumbled lines all but impossible to hear. In this evening's episode (10/12/2016) there was a big reveal about what a picture of a black hole was hiding. The show ended with the big reveal... but after rewinding the scene 5 times, my wife and I still could not make out what was hidden in the picture, because the background music swallowed what was being said. So, the big reveal is still a mystery to my wife and I... and it was not for a lack of trying to figure it out. We gave it our due diligence.

The makers of "Blindspot" need to brush up on the basics of creating television shows, including that it is helpful for the audience to be able to hear and understand what is being said, at all times. If the producers and technical staff could get that part sorted out, perhaps "Blindspot" could start to live up to the potential it most certainly has.

The first episode is very uneven, busily attempting to check all the boxes so it can get back to being a procedural. If that is the case, there aren’t enough tattoos on Jane’s body to make it compelling.

This season opener is in fact a true data dump: Everything along with that name is unloaded. Blindspot instantly becomes a new show, which is a good thing. ... Along with some new characters, including Panjabi’s and another played by stage and TV veteran Michelle Hurd, Blindspot suddenly feels fresher, or at least intelligible.
