One point for the tech. I liked the “rewinder” it has a believable aesthetic when you realize it’s the early version of “the entire history of you” tech. While I can breath a sigh of relief this episode is not about cookies. It’s not bringing anything new to the table. It’s my take that an early version of an invention is still the same invention. What half of the point IS for is it being used in a novel way- I enjoyed watching the claims adjuster try to make sense of what was in a person’s memories. I remember seeing a video of scientists displaying digital clips from brain patterns in reality and it looked similar to what’s in this episode. Like I said -very easy for me to imagine this down the line.

The bad? Ok the entire plot is horrible.. it’s one of those plots you feel as if you’ve seen before but can’t place... character starts out with an issue and through deceit it builds, builds and they are caught in the end. The old snowball and crash. And that would be ok there’s a lot of shows that draw from common plots but the key for me is how interesting and varied they can make it. Dress it up so I don’t recognize it for the basic bi**h that it is. The characters instead of doing this go in the opposite direction. They ALL remind you of how things are just muddling along. The protagonist is a cold flat b** and I don’t feel sorry for her. The claims lady is a nosy b* and I don’t feel sympathy..
The only characters that I felt for was the baby, he was killed by a boring basic b** and the son who was probably embarrassed at the end of the play due to his basic criminal b** mom getting arrested. There are characters I wanted to care about but it just didn’t seem like they were given enough screen time to let me. I hate it all but god damn, those mountains.
