There isn’t any real motivations conveyed for why he’s doing what he’s doing. Showing he’s some dumb kid that just joined the army just because doesn’t cut it for me. Raiman is hate-able but the rest of the cast just fall into the background. Forgettable folks. Boring plot for the most part. There are a few scenes I like though.

I liked the concept of super soldiers being brought to the forefront..somewhere. The Mass is a thought provoking invention that is easy to connect with real life, especially now that VR and AR are being heavily invested in. And that brings me to the highlight of the episode: ARQUETTE. I like a good bad guy and he’s why I’m not rating it a one. It’s like the stuffed all the nuance and intrigue into this guy. He’s a chilling type of evil. The kind that’s unassuming, intelligent, rational and calm. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were people in the same positions of the same sentiments in this world. the main character’s best scene was with him. Thought provoking performance.

Some wasted potential, but this is the one invention I wouldn’t be mad to see again if put to more interesting use.
