This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The season is slow-paced so far, but I like most of it. Perhaps it's not as good as season 3, but we will see.

EDIT: I have thought about it a lot, but so far I don't like that Brandon hasn't come back and it makes his character seem useless. I like how TC is still here, but what about Wendy and Erica? I think Jefferson's dark side to him is an interesting concept, but if he doesn't revert back soon to a tamer side then I may rethink my score. However, Tobias Whale and Lala are still characters I like and I still think they are cool. I hope Lala comes back from near death at some point. I am excited for the backdoor pilot for Painkiller, but that's in April and I will have to wait for it longer than the other episodes. Anissa is still interesting and her chemistry with Grace is wild (joke intended). Jennifer is still great in my opinion, but her recast hasn't worked for some and the explanation for her new appearance had a friend of mine thought it was dumb. Don't genes affect the appearance? Now that I think about it she should still have resemblance to her family, but she doesn't look similar to Jeff, Lynn, Anissa, or even Gravedigger. Unless a new episode shows a grandparent picture of someone that shares features with the new actress, I am currently not satisfied with the explanation. Lynn still makes me mad and I wish she had more empathy. Christine Adams still acts amazingly though. So far these first six episodes have been slow, but okay for me. I want episode seven and eight to make me feel different though. I still praise Salim Akil and each director for creating the series well to this point. I do hope Cress Williams is in more crossovers in the future, or other characters (not Lynn I hope).

EDIT: Once the Painkiller episode comes around I will edit this again.

EDIT: I broke that promise and now I will just say that am I the only one that wants Tobias and Lynn to be together? Lynn doesn't work well with Jefferson so maybe Tobias would be a better change for her? Besides, Tobias likes Lynn and if Lynn got together with Tobias then that means more drama and the writers like drama so maybe it will happen? I don't know, but maybe.

EDIT: Painkiller is one of my favorite characters and that backboor pilot for a spin-off show about him gets more super hyped for it. I would love to see more! The action, the emotional beats, more Odell, the new characters, and whatever it wants to throw at me; I want to see more. My favorite episode so far.… Expand
