I really like the show, but I wasn't feeling it during this episode, maybe because I was binging. This was when I started getting tired of Jefferson and Lynn's disagreements, because in my opinion it worked for the show and each of them had good points, but in this episode I felt like it was getting stale. In season 3, my favorite season, it got worse, and that's really the only thing in season 3 I don't like. Sure perhaps their arguments can still make sense in season 2, but I thought they were making progress when season 2 ended so why continue the drama?

The episode was still pretty good in my opinion, Tobias, Syonide, and Painkiller were cool and Jefferson finding out that Khalil can walk again was a good scene in my eyes, the school attack scene was tense and Syonide fighting Thunder was awesome. Though, I still feel like Martin Proctor still doesn't feel like a good villain. I was glad Tobias came back in this episode, and it makes sense that he was gone because of injuries, but did they have to replace him with Proctor in the last few episodes? I was fine with Lala's scenes in this episode and the last few, but in the next episode I felt different.

Look, maybe you will have a better time than I did, but I didn't like Martin Proctor and I wish the episode was more about Syonide and Tobias along with Khalil as villains instead of the shallow Martin Proctor. At least it had the return of Tobias, but replacing Tobias with Proctor really dodged some good opportunities for Tobias having scenes of grieving over his sister or him struggling with his wounds. I just don't like Martin Proctor and I wish Tobias had more scenes in the season, because in the first half he was the main antagonist but then for some reason he wasn't. Look, Lala is cool and all but the build-up for him just to be exploded in the next episode was dumb. My final thoughts, I was glad Tobias was back and that he and Painkiller fought Black Lightning, and that Syonide fought Thunder, but the fight happened because Proctor ordered Tobias to do it, and while Tobias acted more on his self-interest I still can't believe such a shallow person has leverage over Tobias. Agent Odell during season 3 having power of Tobias makes sense, but Martin Proctor feels like someone bordering on insanity. If the Jefferson and Lynn drama was moved out of this episode or maybe Jefferson asked politely why Lynn was telling Jennifer about possibly removing her powers, plus having Martin Proctor die or maybe not ever writing him into the season, or writing his better, then maybe I would have liked the episode more.

It was still okay, just in my opinion season 1 got worse in the second half.
