The show is so diabolically bad that it's reached un-memeable status. It went so far beyond bad it became "so bad that it was good", and then it became uber bad. It's so awful that it gives your eyes scabies and destroys your autoimmune system.

In all seriousness (heh), I've watched a total of 7 episodes, at different parts of the run, and the writing and "acting" were so criminally

In all seriousness (heh), I've watched a total of 7 episodes, at different parts of the run, and the writing and "acting" were so criminally awful that I almost lost the will to live. The supposed heroes act like villains, with no moral code or ethics, and the villains all behave like heinously-terrible caricatures of villains. It's as if someone without writing talent was told what the original Adam West Batman was like, by someone who intensely hated the show, and then they attempted to recreate it (with far worse actors) as a personal dig at the entire genre.

Don't watch this show. Ever. (Unless you're a sado-masochist who has truly given up on life, and there's nothing left to watch but Teletubbies or outtakes of The Goop Lab. Even Gwyneth Paltrow's incoherent ramblings about the "suppleness" of her nether regions is a better waste of your time.)

That aside, this is about Season 2. Look I bleed for DC (and DC has been particularly bad for demanding their pound of flesh as of late. The show should have been cancelled with Rose giving up because she did not want to be associated with such a bomb. Execs made the stupid decision of "we can fix this" and fix it they did alright. Wringing the character through such mental gymnastics that she is now not only super woke, but super cultural appropriation.

Its hard to say where the primary problem is. The new actress who is as charming as watching a plank of wood for an hour, Or the writing that was clearly drafted by chimps strung out on a week long mescaline trip.

The only positives are from the production end. You get scenes very much on par with CW level of DC shows like Legends or Arrow, but not quite up to what they put out last year with Star girl.

All in all, the series was a flop. Losing its lead doomed the production, there was zero chance this was going to take off and this now looks like one of those productions that studio execs use to exploit cash off of before tanking the whole thing.

So if that is the level of production they are going to put into it, there is no point to bother watching it. Its poorly conceived, poorly written, poorly acted, too busy craming social engineering down your throat to bother with being entertaining and is not going to survive another failed season with ratings that somehow are even too low for CWs standards.

Una serie sin alma con un guión pobre que intenta plantear un interés que se desvanece en minutos con personajes sin carisma y poco entrañables

This thing is an absolute dumpster fire. Its so bad one has to wonder if this meant as a parody or if the writers are microcephalics or mentally deficient.

The season with the new actress has become boring. I only watch it because of the storyline with Alice.

Ryan Wilder is an imperfect inspiration for women and she is very relatable. The action is good and so is the CGI.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Though I believe this season of Batwoman suffered due to the absence of Ruby Rose and Kate Kane and the connection and chemistry between Kate and Alice I do believe that the performances from Rachel Skarsten and Javicia Leslie, the new, twisted, and unique chemistry between Alice and Ryan, and Alice's character development and storyline made up for it somewhat. The performances from Nicole Kang and Camrus Johnson were also great. The makeup, hairstyling, and costumes were superb. I have high hopes for what next season will hold. Expand

Stunning and brave. Diverse and inclusive. But I can't in good conscience give this show a good review because the protagonist is neither elderly nor disabled, proving the writers are both ableist AND ageist. Fix this for season 3 or you will be Twitter mobbed and shunned from polite society.

It remains unclear how the new protagonist will impact the show's overall momentum, as these opening chapters work to transition viewers to a new narrative schema. So far, Leslie's character provides some classic "fish out of water" levity to an otherwise self-serious superhero melodrama. That novice energy comes at some cost, however, to the series' established emotional dimensions.

After a first season that never quite got off the ground creatively, "Batwoman" announced that original star Ruby Rose would be leaving but that the series would hang around without her. The contortions necessary to arrange that baton (or Batarang) pass mostly fizzle in the opening episodes, fueling a sense that this CW drama might be flying on fumes.

The result is messy, as was maybe inevitable — but it’s also not particularly satisfying, which was much more avoidable.
