    The show suffers when it’s away from Johnson, lacking any real focus. Individual moments can be fine, but they seem strung together rather than part of a cohesive vision.

    As was the case in its first season, there’s noticeable drag in the story every moment Ballers spends away from protagonist Spencer Strasmore (Johnson).

Hopefully some of the primary crises for the season will be developed in ep.2 - or people will be running for the exits. HBO Sunday Night can't merely consist of "The Night Of" - got to follow-up that quality with quality.… Full Review »
