Book 3 is my favorite, mostly because of how Korra's character evolves (something we see more of in Book 4) and because of the main villain. Also, the socio-political implications of past events in The Last Airbender, the comics and Book 1 & 2 of Korra are handled in this season and the next one. ~ Story ~

The change delivered by Season 2's Conclusion has caused the rebirth of Airbenders and Spirits living in Republic City. A man named Zaheer escaped prison using his new Airbending Abilities he releases his 3 accomplices and sets out to find the Avatar.

Thoughts on Story - The story is very interesting and entertaining Zaheer is a great villain probably the biggest threat to the Avatar. The final battle was a little disappointing but it was still enjoyable.

    ~ Characters ~

Korra - Korra is tough as usual and a little less reckless in this season. I said only a little.

Asami - Smart Sexy Beautiful sigh Mako what were thinking? Anyway she's mostly the same this season she goes through a few ordeals but doesn't really change her character much.

Kai - A new character and he's a thief one whose in love with Jinora. His thievery makes him annoying in early episodes but he soon changes to become a good character. I unfortunately do not really care for him.

Opal - Bolin made his moves on the right girl because Opal is such a lovely character with a Beautiful Personality. If Mako wasn't an idiot he could've had a girlfriend in this season.

Suyin - Another great new character. For an old women she looks really good.

    Bolin - is still funny.

    Varrick - Still hilarious.

Julie - Still does the thing.

Mako - Still single and alone.

Zaheer - The Badass Philosophical Airbending Anarchist

Lin - The Angry Bitter Old Women Holding Sentiments of The Past to become a Calm Happy Old Women Whose Still Bitter.

Aiwei - The Truth Seeking Liar and Backstabbing Bastard.

Animation - Aaa to the Amazing some of the fights in this Season are impressive ah but it gets better in Season 4 stick around for that one.

Audio - The Voice Actors & Actresses do a superb job. The music was okay for the most part.

Rewatch Value - Higher then Zaheer smoking that Mary J with Guru Laghima. I love this Season and I keep coming back to it over and over again.

Overall - This is probably 1 of the best Seasons of Legend of Korra(comparable to the greatness of Season 1). You will love this show and I urge you to watch it.

Season 4 comes next and that Season was quite a ride one that I enjoyed yet also disliked. We'll talk about that later.

The fighting and fight scenes in this Season were some of the best animation, epicness and emotion, bordering on the line of Eren vs the Female Titan in Attack on Titan.. and that's saying something.

No longer is this a kid's show, without spoiling it, were Legend of Aang, even people look like they should have died, they crawl out of their tanks to put kids minds at ease. No longer is that the case, there is death in this Season, first season in Avatar History were it's obvious when people die, and it's even later confirmed.

The Emotion, Voice Acting, Locations, Story and Aftermath of Harmonic Convergence are astonishing, the Music is easily the best in the series, easily the most powerful villains in Avatar History, new forms of bending, mature storyline (So mature it was removed off air) and all in all, one of the greatest shows I've seen in a loooong time (If you're a stoner, watch every episode baked, especially the last 3, my god..). Anyway, watch the god damn show!

The Legend of Korra goes back to it's roots and delivers a perfect season of television!

Everything from the breathtaking animation, wonderful designs, great settings, deep ideological characters, masterful storytelling to the flawless soundtrack. It's all there and has never been better!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This season with Zahir as the main antagonist is the best season of Korra. The antagonist has a goal that is believable and that many people would empathize with, much like season 1. Watching the air nation get rebuilt as well was exciting and interesting because of the state of the air nomads before harmonic convergence. It is heartwarming to see Tenzin finally able to realize this dream. Watching the plan of the Red Lotus unfold is insanely fascinating because of the mystery and history surrounding them and Korra.

This season is LoK at it's peak.

    I hate doing this.
I've given two decent scores for Korra before now, because I wanted to see the good that could come from this story. I've tried to explain that it's not the original Avatar.
But you know what, I'm done with that. I'm done giving this show a chance, ignoring the bad parts for the good. Because this show is desperately trying to be the original Avatar. And it's

Because this show is desperately trying to be the original Avatar. And it's failing. Badly.
I've not seen the full series yet, but up to now, everything seems very rushed, new bad guys, contrived new groups. hinting at backstory that goes nowhere.
    This season is a mess.
If it doesn't come back after the rushed formula, I won't be upset by it, I'll just sell my Korra dvd's and ignore the continuity, after all The Rift is still being done and up to now the series is still good.

I personally thought Season 3 was much better than Season 2 because so way new things happened! This season had tons of action, fighting and humorous scenes and overall the whole series is awesome! I recommend watching it!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I liked season 1, hated season 2, but i loved season 3. Avatar improved upon itself strongly. There aren't any forced relationships, even Mako is insecure with his feelings and try not to do or say anything stupid.

Anarchist villain is granted the power of air bending, some may say that's it is really convenient that he studied all technique's, although it had to happen if it didn't plot wouldn't go on. That's the beauty of this season, if none of season 2 disappointing staff happened, all that great story of book 3 wouldn't exist.

Show is strongly referencing ATLAB and that's great too. However most of fun i had was with characters. now we know that Asami and Korra will date, but it was set up. They spend an entire season with each other, getting to know each other, and appreciate each other. Brother duo are better than ever, and for the first time since 2nd episode they interact for some more time. Mako and Bowlin met their family, and cousin who could be easily so annoying, but he wasn't.
I appreciate that all characters are finally clever. They have motivation for their doing and if there is a problem that has a simple solution they are aware of it. They use the knowledge that they acquired from their adventures and use it in time of need.

Overall i found this season excellent and i love that it was dark and it could be, just too much but it wasn't. I hoped someone from main characters would die, but i appreciate the ending
