Atl off with a strong two episode premiere and hopefully that momentum remains consistent. Episode two may be one of the contenders for the best of the series.

Returning without the goodwill that had reinforced the reception of the preceeding third season, Atlanta's fourth season continues to stumble. Gone is the cinematic paranoia and bizzare black existentialism . Yep, will deservably go down as a classic TV show. It's in the tier of Twin Peaks and Damon Lindelof's stuff in terms of just being so unique and surreal. I'm not sure how I feel about the ending but I mean with shows like this I feel like that's kinda the point. I never went in expecting a neatly tied-up narrative so I guess it is par for the course.

I slightly wish there had been more

I slightly wish there had been more standalones this season (like last season was too much, but this seasons was too little). Nonetheless it remains at the high standard I've come to expect from Atlanta.

Very intrigued by what Hiro Murai, Donald & Stephen Glover do next - with this I feel they've demonstrated they're more than just a flash in the pan.

Amazing ending to the show. This season understood the mistakes and also the best things about Season 3 and fixed them or made them better. The finale was incredible.

Through the first three episodes provided for review, the cohesiveness that once catapulted this series to prominence, however, barely exists. All that’s left are the shards of what once was.

Sometimes flirting with horror, and drama, dedicating several episodes to unknown characters who are to never to be seen again — Atlanta has pushed the boundaries on what a TV show can accomplish, and will be remembered for that accordingly.

The final season of Atlanta has a sense of the surreal that makes the delivery of its message a whole lot easier to take than the show’s third season, which felt like more of a take-your-medicine exercise at times.
