Quite a few humorous bits through out and solid acting by the cast too. I loved the effects, Those were easily the highlight of the season. Sadly, The story still struggles. It fades hard in the second half of the season and makes it a chore to finish. They need to find something else to do for Season 3 because I just don't see fans sticking around for much longer.

They listened to the fans !!
Less crappy cgi, more practical fx (and there is A LOT of gore in this one), better jokes, better direction, better storytelling. Just....better.
Everything an Evil Dead fan can hope for and a valid reason to hang on when watching the disappointing first season.
So if you don't like the show at first, keep going and you'll be rewarded !

Also something feels odd about the treatment of the character Kelly. She certainly underwent more focus in this season, but the character development build up to almost nothing in the finale.
Apart from that, Ash vs. Evil Dead continues to be the best version of a horror genre that does not take it self (too) seriously. Lots of fun!

Gory from the get go, the second season of the show will not let fans down. It's just as funny, inventive, and creatively grotesque as ever. An extra added layer of depth and a surprising kick of emotion has been added to the mix as the story takes us back to Ash's hometown where we get to take a look at his family life. Pablo and Kelly are given a little bit more to do than just be sidekicks. Their characters have undergone some growth and have their own issues to deal with.

The handful of new reoccurring characters fit in nicely. Ted Raimi showing up is icing on the cake and a nice bit of fanservice given his ties to the Evil Dead series. The throwbacks to the films are always a nice touch. Although I have to question why we needed to return to the cabin again. I was constantly surprised by the ability of these ten episodes to consistently come up with bigger, crazier moments than even that of the first season. There are some insane and hilarious moments that rival that of the original trilogy.

Some slight improvements to the formula and more deranged monsters and comedic excellence keep the momentum going. I appreciated this season's cleaner ending that leaves the door open for the show to go in any direction. I, for one, can't wait for season 3. There's one little mystery Lee Majors left us with that I can't wait to get the answer to. Even without that, it looks like there are still plenty of reasons to hail the king, baby. What with the steps forward taken and ceaselessly entertaining delivery of the absurd and the macabre.

Following his ‘retirement’, Ash is enjoying his time hiding away from the forces of the Evil Dead. Of course, his peace doesn’t last very long and he soon finds himself back in action alongside Kelly and Pablo.

This season was even better than the first one and will be very hard to top.

Maybe some flaws are still there but it exceeded every possible expectation with better characters, a better story and awesome action and soundtrack. I was really amazed and hooked after each episode. Check it out if you haven't already: horror comedy at its finest!

The story hits the gas immediately in season two, immediately juicing up the excellent comedic chemistry between Campbell, DeLorenzo and Santiago while taking the story into fraught emotional spaces for Ash.

Ash’s vivacious vocabulary is largely intact, but this series needs more creativity in its stories, side characters (who’ve more than earned their own plots) and action scenes--not just in dumping blood everywhere.

It’s chewy popcorn television, where everything zips by at face value, from the laughs to the thrills to the kills, and once again, Ash Vs. Evil Dead delivers this mayhem with gutsy results.
