Absolutely horrendous quality, the pacing of the scenes, the clunky half-assed dialogue, character developement that never happens but seems to regress on the precipice of being pseudo organic.
Its not even a superhero show anymore, its a joke. the fight scenes are lazy, the characters are wasted potential. It just pales in comparison to its first 2 seasons. shame.

Bad, really bad! So bad I stopped watching it. The main villain Damien Darhk is so boring. Arrow has become a show were Olicity matters more than anything. Also, the first 8 episodes' plot was only based on setting up Legends of Tomorrow and its heroes. That was lame. Disappointing season.

This show gets worse as the seasons continue. I don't mind it when it makes sense, but the members of team arrow so consistently act out of character that it's hard to feel like you know any of them from one episode to the next. Diggle, for instance, flip-flops like politician. One minute he's the voice of reason that keeps Oliver from going too far, and the next he's having emotional reactions and playing devil's advocate. And Oliver just keeps hiding secrets for no reason when being forthcoming would be so much easier on everyone. It's like they need at least one teary-eyed argument per episode. And what accent is Laurel's cop dad using? I know he's a Brit IRL, but he sounds like a Brooklyn-born Sean Connery. After watching the fight scenes for four seasons, you begin to notice when people aren't actually hitting one another, and it all starts to look like dance-offs between attractive people (I know, people don't hit each other in acting, but I shouldn't be able to see the fists coming just short of the enemy's face). I was in for the DC fan service the first two seasons, but now, like most shows that have to generate drama and stretch out plot lines that could be resolved with a simple conversation, the routine grows stale. I miss the days when Rhas Al Gul had all of them working together to fight an unbeatable enemy. Expand

Its not playing to its strengths.Malcolm, who has been a tremendous character, is underused and uninteresting John Diggle is there all the time.
Its ratings are way way down and if they don't pick up, Arrow will be canceled.

Arrow Season 4: This is the weakest season so far. There is way too much masks and outfits going around it almost looks ridiculous and as one big Masked Ball. In addition, no one seems to stay dead anymore! They have killed Moira, which I think was remarkable and revived Sara who is really unnecessary especially after her sister picked up where she left off. I personally never liked her. Looks, voice, her outfit resembles more to a stripper than to a fighter. Another big big miss is the Felicity and Oliver relationship. Their love was justified with some chemistry going on between the two-according to producers!!!! Please, what a chemistry?! They are a complete miss and she is even emerging as the boss of all lately, so annoying. I think she should be cancelled. I won't even waste time to comment on the character of her mother and pointless appearance on the show, no matter how they try to justify that later on. Arrow is lame throughout the season because of this relationship too. Marriage, the child....what is this going towards "Supernaturally stirred soap opera!!!"
Someone remarked about the flashbacks too, totally agree. They are like an attempt to justify additions due to draining of ideas to keep the script floating based on the wonderful start. Lastly, the story is all over the place.

Arrow: Season 4 is the biggest super-hero TV disappointement I've ever seen, with over-focus on Olicity instead of Oliver/Damien Darhk conflict, lots of silly and out-of-character lines of dialogue, and just humdrum flashbacks.

At this point, Arrow is not going back to the show we loved. Thank Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle for that.

I really don't know how much more of this I can take. I have this weird suspicion that the actors are in control of the story and writing the script as they are filming. It's day-time soap quality dialog. "Do you want to talk about it? Resurrected siblings are kind of in my wheelhouse." The cross-over episodes make the Flash better, but they make Arrow worse. There is something about the chummy, non-threatening tone of all the shows on the CW that makes my eyes roll and my hands clap like a simpleton all at once. I think I'm clapping my hands less and less these days. Expand

I always felt that Felicity and Barry Allen should hook up thus allowing more cross-over episodes between Arrow and The Flash. Ray Palmer’s character reminds me of the way Brendon Routh played Clark Kent in “Superman Returns”; which was just a copy-cat version of how Christopher Reeve portrayed Clark when Reeve was Superman. Another weak season filled with terrible back story, A weak continuing plot from the laughing stock called season 3, and no character development. Arrow has fallen into this very weak formula and it's slowly killing the show. Stop with all this Sci-Fi junk and get back to what made the show so good in the first - Bad ass villains and great fights.

Arrow’s venture into mysticism is generally effective, with strong story arcs (Oliver as Mayor, Legends of Tomorrow setup & Damien Dahrk) and a compelling villain overshadowing the show’s tendencies to prioritise poor character arcs, corny dialogue and weak episodic villains.

Alright, I don't do reviews but I feel strongly about this one. 1st, its a great show. I would miss it if it were gone.
That being said, WTF? The show is totally losing its way. it needs to get back on track and get the GREEN ARROW CHARTER / IDENTITY COMPLETED! Go back to the basics of the show .Enough with the flashbacks or at lest make them relevant. cross-overs with THE FLASH TOTALLY

This season the entire cast has there heads firmly planted where the dun doesn't shine (that is the writers fault). They make stupid unrealistic, emotional mistakes that are badly acted (that's on the actors, but if you're handed crap for a script you do your best too try to pull out a win. The fourth season was a new low for this fantastic show. The season overall is just dull, the acting isn't great (which is surprising considering the past 3 seasons), and the fight sequences are just slow. I still love Stephen Amell as the Green Arrow and Niel McDonough's Damien Darhk. Overall, the season has some redeeming qualities, but is just slow and dull.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Seeing Season 4 made me ask myself one question - Just whom do they think they are fooling? Oliver Queen comes in front of the camera and says he is not Arrow but Green Arrow, and everyone believes him? Even though his costume is nothing different from what it used to be in the previous seasons. Oliver and Felicity are spending their time together and they come back because...? This season also made one of the problems very major which happens in all the Arrowverse shows - the character development always happens because someone keeps a secret. Here the secret was that Oliver has a son, which was established in Season 2 that Moira asked Samantha to tell that she dropped the child. But when Oliver saw his son William, what was his first reaction? That's right, now HE will keep it a secret from Felicity. And the audacity of this man, just a few episodes ago he was mad at Samantha for keeping this a secret from him! And here we have the Teen Titans villain Damien Dahrk for the season's big bad guy. Actually he's not as much as the big bad guy as he is the bad guy. He gets arrested, comes back, then gets arrested again, then comes back, and then Oliver kills him because he killed Laura. Now Green Arrow has removed his no kill rule because it was making the plot too hard. Expand

While The Flash’s adventures are obviously based heavily around special effects, this series continues to keep things grounded, and the fight scenes remain as exciting and well choreographed as ever. The premiere may be heavy on character development, but it also prioritizes action, and that’s not a bad thing.
